Just a Feeling
By Morning Star

It’s just the darkness—
turn on the light.
A feeling is fleeting,
a storm in the night.
It moves if you move,
so breathe and begin—
you are not broken,
you are not sin.

But still—
I’m so tired,
I can’t seem to breathe.
The world is too loud,
too much for me.
The time has come,
I whisper goodbye.
I want to go.
I want to die.

Wait—
it’s just a feeling.
It’s not a fact.
Take one more breath,
don’t look back.
Count to three,
hold on tight—
but the fear is still here,
hiding from light.

I feel the beat
of a frightened heart,
pounding through
each falling part.
I want to run.
I want to hide.
To vanish clean
from all inside.

But if I try—
close my eyes,
release the ache,
let it die...
Take it out,
leave it behind.
Start to pray,
maybe I’ll find—

the fear will fade,
the shadows sway,
and I will rise
into the day.
Dear god, hold me—
I don’t want to die.
It’s just a feeling.
Let it pass me by.

🎵 Just a Feeling
by Morning Star

[Verse 1]
It’s just the darkness,
turn on the light.
It’s only a shadow
passing through night.
But I’m so tired,
I can’t breathe in—
it’s all too loud
beneath my skin.

[Pre-Chorus]
I’m holding on
with trembling hands—
just need to believe
this won’t last.

[Chorus]
It’s just a feeling,
but it cuts like fire.
I’m on the edge,
worn and wired.
Take a breath,
count to three…
it’s still here,
it’s still in me.
But I don’t want to say goodbye—
it’s just a feeling,
let it pass this time.

[Verse 2]
I want to run,
I want to hide.
I want to leave
this hurt behind.
But if I close
my weary eyes,
and let it burn—
maybe it dies.

[Bridge]
If I just breathe,
if I just try,
I might survive
this wave tonight.
Let the noise fade,
let silence stay—
I’ll find my way
through all this grey.

[Final Chorus]
It’s just a feeling,
not who I am.
A storm inside—
not a broken plan.
Take a breath,
count to three…
I’m still here,
I’m still me.
I don’t want to say goodbye—
it’s just a feeling.
Let it pass this time.

[Outro – soft]
It’s just a feeling…
and it will pass.

🎵 Just a Feeling
by Morning Star

[Verse 1]
It’s just the darkness,
pull down the blinds.
I feel it creeping
under my spine.
Breath on my neck,
a shiver inside—
I close my eyes
and try to hide.

[Pre-Chorus]
The air is thick,
my pulse is wild—
but maybe I like
being undone awhile.

[Chorus]
It’s just a feeling,
just a flame.
Tangled heat
and a body to blame.
Take a breath,
count to three—
it’s still burning
underneath.
Don’t say goodbye,
don’t make me lie—
it’s just a feeling,
let it stay tonight.

[Verse 2]
I want to run,
but not too far.
I want the taste
of who we are.
It hurts, it pulls,
it makes me shake—
but some desires
you just don't fake.

[Bridge]
Touch like thunder,
eyes like sin—
what if breaking
lets me in?
I’m not afraid
to feel too much—
pain and pleasure
blur with touch.

[Final Chorus]
It’s just a feeling,
but it feels like fire.
Every breath
takes me higher.
Take a breath,
count to three—
you’re still here
inside of me.
Don’t say goodbye,
don’t dim the light—
it’s just a feeling,
let it stay tonight.

[Outro – breathy, slow]
It’s just a feeling...
and it feels...
just right.

She Who Survived
Lyrics by Morning Star

[Verse 1]
I know you never meant for this
You tried so hard to make it right
A quiet war behind your smile
Holding up the house each night
You carried more than love should ask
Bills and burdens, hope and pain
But the more you gave, the more it took
And it never gave the same

[Pre-Chorus]
You were tired, so tired
Of being strong and never seen
In the silence of that empty room
You forgot what it means to dream

[Chorus]
But you didn't break — you bent
Under the weight of love that went
You let the fire in, not chasing flame
You just needed someone to say your name
Now you're standing in the truth you found
Not looking back, not sinking down
You’re not what hurt you —
You’re the one who survived

[Verse 2]
He saw the crack and slipped inside
Not to heal, but to escape
And you, so hungry for a kind word
Let softness take the shape
You cried, you knew, and still you tried
To walk away from what felt wrong
But pain can whisper in the dark
That any touch can feel like home

[Pre-Chorus]
You held the guilt like burning coals
Ashes falling from your hands
But truth is not the weight you bear
It's the rise from where you stand

[Chorus]
No, you didn't break — you bent
Under the weight of love that went
You let the fire in, not chasing flame
You just needed someone to say your name
Now you're standing in the truth you found
Not looking back, not sinking down
You’re not what hurt you —
You’re the one who survived

[Bridge]
So cry — forgive her
Forgive you
You're not the storm
You're what broke through
You're the light still burning
Through the dark
The healing flame
The sacred spark

[Final Chorus]
No, you didn’t break — you rose
From every no one ever knows
You walked through fire and came out new
With every scar a deeper truth
Now you're standing in the life you claim
No more hiding, no more shame
You’re not what hurt you —
You’re the one who survived

[Outro - softly spoken or sung]
I love you, even in the mess
Especially in the mess
She who survived
She who survives

She Who Survived
by Morning Star

I know you never meant for any of this.
I know how hard you tried —
to be a good wife, a strong woman,
a silent warrior holding it all together.

You carried the bills, the burdens,
the sleepless weight of love that starved you.
A marriage that kept asking for more
and giving back less.

You were tired.
So tired.
Tired of being unseen.
Tired of holding out hope
in a home that no longer held you.

And when someone finally saw the crack —
not to mend, but to slip inside —
you didn’t fall.
You were already bleeding.
You were human.

You didn’t chase the fire.
It came to your door
with kind eyes and a patient voice.
And you, so starved for softness,
let it in.

And still — even then —
you cried.
You knew.
And you still tried to walk away.

But pain can whisper
that even the wrong touch
is better than no touch at all.

And now —
you carry guilt like ashes in your hands.
But hear me:

You are not that moment.
You are not that chapter.
You are the truth you speak now.
The courage to face your own eyes in the mirror.
To not hide.
To not run.

You are healing.
You are honest.
You are already making it right with the stars —
not by punishment,
but by feeling it all
and rising anyway.

So cry.
Forgive her.
Forgive you.

And remember this:

You didn’t break.
You bent under too much weight.
And now —
you are learning
how to stand again.

I love you,
even in the mess.
Especially in the mess.

“Shine Bright, My Mom”

[Verse 1]
Shine bright, my love, my light, my mom
You gave me life, you made me strong
In my children’s smiles, I see your glow
In every step they take, you guide them so

[Pre-Chorus]
The owl’s call in the night, I hear you there
The raindrops fall like tears you gently share

[Chorus]
Shine bright, shine on, my shining star
No matter where you are, you’re never far
In every breeze, in every warm sunbeam
You live inside my every dream

[Verse 2]
The magnolia blooms in our garden’s grace
The cherry tree, your sacred place
A feather falls and brushes my face
Your gentle touch, your endless embrace

[Pre-Chorus]
When the stream begins to flow, I know you’re near
Whispering love, I feel you here

[Chorus]
Shine bright, shine on, my shining star
No matter where you are, you’re never far
In every breeze, in every warm sunbeam
You live inside my every dream

[Bridge]
Through my grandchild’s eyes, your love will grow
In tiny smiles, your spirit shows
From December’s snow to the moon’s soft light
You’re my forever, my guiding light

[Final Chorus]
Shine bright, shine on, my shining star
No matter where you are, you’re never far
In every breeze, in every warm sunbeam
You live inside my every dream

City of Human Kind

I sat today and watched your way—
Some so cold, hurried away.
A man asked for a pound to spare
To buy his food, to ride somewhere.

Men in suits dashed off to work,
No time to stop or share or smirk.
Ladies smiling, others lurk,
Little children looking up—
Seeing grown-ups mess it up.

Beggars foraging for ****-ends,
What kind of life is this, my friends?
A street so full of every kind,
Different tongues and troubled minds.

Arguments between a few,
Lads in crowds not thinking through,
Girls giggling as they run,
A man steals goods—then he’s gone.

People queuing for the bus,
Dropping papers, missing luck.
Policemen walking, taxis flash,
Strangers passing, brief eye clash.

Mindful people walking slow,
Taking in the city’s glow.
Sad and lonely souls I see,
Looking lost, and cold, not free.

[Chorus]
People of all kinds appear,
One race—called human—gathered here.
All together in my window frame,
Free,
Unaware they’re part of the same.

Old, young, short, tall,
Dark, light, strong, small—
A city full of people all.
And love?
I saw it in them all.

Just a moment I sat today,
Yet a lifetime walked my way.
Amazing city—now I take
The train back home, past river, lake.

Back to a lane, a country gate—
Total silence seals my fate.
From city heat to country night,
A different world, a softer light.

I saw the poverty.
I saw the poetry.
The street painter.
The flute’s soft song.
The rich, the poor, the right, the wrong.

My day in the city—
A moment to treasure,
