Once I missed her more
Even than my own shadow-
She, my sweetheart now.
Calvero Feb 2014
relativity
put a whole new perspective
on my point of view
Calvero Nov 2013
Among the rocks I
Saw trees with roots so twisted
And I saw my life.
Calvero Nov 2013
Tune you turn into
Play with tunes, play with words now,
Act as I was new
I can't remember the context of this. Sorry.

some time
catching the edge of here
some time

magic
trick

waiting like a rabbit

most times
alone on a field of green
cat can’t see me

football

tossed salad
in a high hat

stove pipe dream

some time
it might be true
who are we

some time
counting on you

just sometimes

All things being equal, I'd rather be wrong than live like this.
Calvero Jan 2014
Why is it always at a time like this,
that I can't seem to find something to talk to her about?
I look skywards, the setting sun hanging above,
I see my favorite color--
Calvero May 2014
Once I loved her more
Even than the air I breathe-
She, a bad dream now.
Calvero Mar 2015
Negging the perceived
Bad and ignoring the good-
Selective blindness.
Calvero Dec 2014
Remember not to forget
Unfortunate events
Turmoil in your stomach
How about a walk tomorrow?
Calvero Nov 2013
Crossing the river
Jumping stone by stone, I found
One loose and fell in.
Calvero Nov 2013
actions speak louder
when you are out of words, truth
soothes my troubled mind
Calvero Jun 2014
Emotionally
Constipated because I
Don't give any *****

we could rob a bank, you and i, <<with the evening spread out against the sky, like a patient, etherized upon a table,>> make no muttering retreats, no ragged claws scuttling across ocean floors, and nobody would count on us, for anything, half starving, we could have *** outside, or watch a parade, and there would be nothing to discuss, nothing to decide, nothing to fear, or desire, and we could bath in the river, or the lake, or the ocean, trust each other in silence, a wordless communion of minds, this world, this time, this life, like some endless hunger that no meal can satisfy, and we can sit across the table, look into each other's eyes, and maybe rob a bank
<<>> verbatim taken from Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock by TS Eliot Many other phrases are taken from the very same poem.

sometimes creativity
comes from the broken places
cracked pots, the greys of your life
Calvero May 2014
rudderless, weary
empty hearts full of loss
meet in the hotel

let it out
let the world back in
a beacon of hope

fight like siblings
love like family; any
port in a storm

brothers and sisters
that i could take away
pain from love forlorn

and mend all shreds
of misfortune
previously torn

brought on by whiskey
in the end
this was just a thought

On that day...
I don't know what you wished for...
so I will wish...
from the bottom of my heart...
-I wish that you will always have a smile (on your face)-
Calvero Feb 2014
I will I will.
keep talking over
                             and over
                                           and over
                                                          and over.
Words, words
                       coming out of mouth.
Blah blah,
                bleh
and
          bluh.
Words, words, words.
Do they even mean anything? Any of this mean anything? Nope.

with every year
dreams like seasons pass
across her cheek

You only live once?
What an interesting thought.
But maybe it's true.

If death's but a door
To paradise forever.
The blessing of God.

No one asks for life.
God provides it free to all.
"You only live once..."

That portion of life
We spend on this planet Earth
Is just a prologue.

While here we should love,
Do good, and glorify God...
Set our sights on Him.

My BODY will die.
But my SOUL is infinite,
And will be reborn...

My corpse will decay,
To dust my tissue return.
But I will go on....

You only die once.
And thus escape this cold world
To the arms of God.

If we live just "once,"
Then life goes on forever...
Aim for Paradise.
you
Calvero Jun 2014
you
you are your body

you are what you do, influence

you walk away

you step out of my heart
Calvero Aug 2014
No matter what disparaging remarks you might make,
I await your observations and insight.
But when you provide your cool analysis please include
An example of the words that you brew,
Because without your input, you know where I put your
Tidy observational work,
Right there, where it will never be seen
And where I suspect that much of your work might be.
So where I love your constructive criticism,
If you can't provide me some guidance
With your wisdom and obeying all the rules,
Of grammar, pentameter and other structural things,
It will be meaningless to me, and probably anonymous
You will choose to be!
Calvero Oct 2014
enter like the Sun
a false pretense or habit
no matter, you're here

radiate your life
just don't touch me anymore
I cannot be moved

what lies in the night
when you are away from me
it makes no sense

coolness and Moonlight
the abundance of the stars
cicada play slow
Calvero Dec 2013
Apple of my eye
Inspires bounce in my step
Smile jumping for joy
Sigh.
Calvero Feb 2014
a brief glance your way
and lurid is my smile
I drool on myself
Calvero Feb 2014
I'm afraid
That if you look into my eyes
You won't find what you want
