My heart starts and stops--it's indecisive like that.
                  Where is this all going?
I mean, when is the ******
                               The aha moment?
There isn't one, I'm sorry darling
This just is
Just is what it will be
Me
     Sitting here, wondering
Is my heart started
                             Or stopped
It's all starting to feel the same
That breathless feeling
                       Freefalling in my dreams
Sickening
             Exciting
The newest part of me, and I'm
  Embracing me, embracing this
                 You
Trusting what I feel rather than see
Because my eyes will deceive me
And that is something I can't allow
You and I, remember
              We're going to define forever
Because I still believe
                      In forever
In love
            My hope is perpetual
And I'm relentless

There is a part of me, just begging
                     to be explained
             to be understood
Just wanting the prepetual motion of forward
To never have to look back, and examine
             a personal history
to anwer for
No, forever moving to a distant goal
Casting away what leaves us
Unburdening our souls of the wasted
There is a part of me, begging
To run free, forever away from this place
From the questions,
                        Half answered
Never to be understood, and how could they be?
Time finds me, stuck running
                 Where am I running?
Take me away, take away
Just take me away from all of this
If I just move forward
                    Hold my head up
I will find that place peace

When I close my eyes
I see that field, remember?
The one in the middle of all that city life,
with the wildflowers growing haphazardly
here and there.

We made that our place
Including the abandoned building
covered in obnoxious graffiti.
It still makes me laugh.

It was Wonderland
You made it that way for me,
with the sunlight shining through you
lighting you up from the inside.
Radiant.

I fell in love with you that day,
really truly in love with you.
As if I had finally saw you
the way I was always meant to.

Reliving that day in my dreams,
I get to hold you closer to my heart.
Closer than my arms would ever allow.
I can still feel you, when I close my eyes

Goodbye was written in your eyes
A blemish on your empathetic heart
Sweet lies only to soothe the truth
Pacify your indecision
The tides fighting against the moon
Only a matter of time
Written in the stars
As the sky and sea fight
Over the precious soul
Smile
Naked, bare to the world
Scared heart in gentle hands

Melodic ties tick the monochromatic moments
Slowly
                                                                    Steady
Memories bring the fires
Burning the scars deep
Forget about the past
Present washing away
               Forever
Only the hourglass knows
Morning smiles as the moon hides
                Sleepy eyes
Goodnight
           Good morning for today
Start anew
                       Repeat
Eternity

I kiss your lips
to taste the sand bleached to my teeth
the morning falls heavily, clouding the sky
While our burden buries deeper
under the surface of our skin
my heart burns
And your ghost washes away
leaving me bare and vulnerable
         I kiss your lips
taste the sand bleached to my teeth

In this game we play
    We dance in the colors
dripping down our backs
            painting the carpet
Your smile is sweet
         reflecting back at me
The sun is setting
and the flowers are singing softly
We gather our memories
                                in empty jars
to gather dust on the shelves
The summer will end
and our innocence will leave as well
But tonight we dance with fireflies
and taste honey dripping down our chins
