Look up and see the stars,
Blinking off one by one,
As the light of the day dawns,
With the rising of the sun.

Each day dawns so differently,
Washing away melanchly of the day before,
Memories of empty rooms disappear,
As the light enters through curtains drawn.

Memories of the fragrance remembered,
Moments in time and space return,
Your absence is forgotten with awakening,
As the morning light brings you close to me.

The night creeps slowly down the range of hills,
Silently, into the voids left by the dusk, it fills.

Like a worn-out blanket, full of holes
The night wraps around the city's bowls,

Leaving tiny pinpoints of light galore,
Peeking through its rotten pores.

From a golden dusk's haze into the darkness,
My thoughts weave in and out in forms artless.

As I contemplate the mysteries of this world,
With those that our vast universe will hold.

My eyes keep darting at the city lights,
As my thoughts align with distant stars so bright.

I am drowning in secrets,
With no bubble to keep me afloat.
Daydreams and manufactured thoughts,
Of all shapes, sizes and colours
Secrets of pink pastels and of shadows too,

It's wonder how many secrets can be held,
Within the orbs of these two eyes alone,
Of desires and truths and kaleidoscopic thoughts,
And pains and hurts, real and imagined.
I am drowning in an ocean of secrets,

And I dont know what to do.
