His
I remember laying on his bare chest, being able to feel each breath he took,
each beat of his heart.

Running his fingers through my hair,
Kissing the top of my head,
Whispering in my ear
"You couldn't lose me if you tried,
I'll never stop loving you."

I knew at that moment
That I was the only girl
That ever mattered.
And that's when I knew I was
His.

There are times in our life when we love, laugh, and cry.

Times when we know, but we just don't want to believe.

Times we think we can out smart our own life, and be the exception.

But in reality, your just not ready.

How could we be ready to let go of someone who was always confident, cheerful, brave, encouraging, funny, generous, delightful, and warm.

We weren't given a way to say goodbye, but a way to say so long for now.
First poem! Hope you enjoy!
