Trench Warfare
Hannah Marie Nov 2013
I see the ****** carnage everywhere.
To my left I see my hope dying
To the right I see my deamons thriving.
The mustard gas of devastation blinds all senses
And I am alone in frantic thoughts trying to claw my way out of the dark.
I hear my self-conscious behind me pushing, weakly yelling at me to run, to live, to survive.
I open my burning eyes and stumble through underground mines of confusion and barbed wire able to grab and never let go.
This war inside rages on each day like a never ending **trench warfare
This poem uses WWI to symbolize the war many of us face in our hearts and minds. Horrors are found in all corners of the world no matter what shape they take.

Whispers
Hannah Marie Oct 2013
Gazing into his deep brown eyes
She moves her lips twords his
Kissing them gently, then progressively more passionatly.
Her lips loom over his cheek
She feels his stuble scratch her tender kisses
Pink creatures that can whisper thousands of words trail ever so softly to his ear where they whispered,
"I will never love you"

Caught Between
Hannah Marie Oct 2013
She is caught between to places
One friendship
One personal happiness
She loves the friend she holds close to her
She loves the guy her friend used to love
She is caught between two places
Like walls starting to crumble and collapse
Yet you can't be in two places at once
Without consequence

Royals
Hannah Marie Oct 2013
They place themselves on thrones of idiocy.
Their crowns cardboard and scepter sticks.
Yet they think so highly of themselves
That they convince one another it is real.
You may be bigger then me.
You may be smarter then me.
You may be stronger then me.
On the outside.
But on the inside I wear the real royal crown
And I hold not a scepter, but a scythe.
That I use to cut down the misguided ones
You see
You think you have power over me.
And that you scare me.
But in the end, it is me who scares you.

She Thinks
Hannah Marie Oct 2013
She thinks.
She wonders about who she is.
What makes or made her the way she is.
The people she is surrounded by?
Maybe past lives?
Past lives..
She thinks.
A librarian
A warrior
A believer
A seer
A killer
A friend
She accepts each characteristic with an
Open mind
