JUST as you are.

In yays,
In nays,
In dirt,
In praise,
In all,
In nothing,
In cold,
In sweat,
In confusion,
In conviction,
In tears,
In presence,
In chaos,
In faith,

He says “Come."

Friendship is sometimes not physically evident,
            -- but heartfully definite.

hunger bites the tummy.
the tummy bites the brain.
for now, sleep will bite the hunger.

but tomorrow again will the...

morning bite the hunger,
which will bite the tummy,
but before any more biting takes place?

food will fill the tummy
which will, by no logical mathematical reasoning, hug the heart.
and then allow the brain inspiration to create!

a last(ing) thought: To fill, one must be filled.

here it comes, it is finally here.
a day where everything seems to be quite clear.
but oft from the side a dust cloud appears,
eyes open being widened with fear.

understand not what can be seen.
so oft that consumes all that is weened.
close out those eyes and heart in to see,
there still is beautiful way deep down deep.

I know You hear me

I know You’re here

No matter what I hear, I’ll trust You’re here

The will to live in a manner we deem as “well" or “successful" often invades and consumes the reality of who we already are.

I will be happy.
I will be loved.
I will see the future bettered.
I will see a greener world.
I will see my efforts transform into fruits.
I will read and finish these books piled up on my drawer.
I will find a man.
He will be my best friend and husband.
I will finish college.
I will find myself more and more.
I will grow.
I will have a family.
I will have kids.
I will struggle.
I will find happiness.
I will be healthier and with that, lose unwanted pounds.
I will visit and travel and see the world.
I will, I will I will.

but WHO is the one that will?
has the will TO be something or someone overshadowed who we ARE indefinitely?

I am alive.
I am a girl.
I am growing.
I am struggling.
I am happy.
I am laughing.
I am crying.
I am a daughter.
I am a friend.
I am an employee.
I am a student.
I am a sister.
I am a Christian, a disciple of Jesus.
I am educated.
I am adopted into the Kingdom of God FOREVER.
I am God’s daughter.
I am unique.
I am flawed.
I am refined daily.
I am learning.
I am growing.

the will to live is powerful.
the will to live well is desirable.
the will to live will teeter totter given the changes in emotion, relationships and surroundings.

but who i am?

who i am is real and right now.
who i am is everlasting.
who i am is revealed and reckoned with constantly.
who i am is the one who will.
and if listening and knowing who created and designed me so intricately with purpose leads me to understand who i am in who He is?

THEN the will to live has direction.
THEN the will to live well has meaning.
THEN the will to live successfully answers to the One who created it all.

I won’t be someday, I already am today.
That gives me the confidence to let go of my personal expectations, and let in, let God’s Holy Spirit transform and give me His, His heart, His.

These eyes were given to see --
to see the marvel as wind sings leaves to dance,
to see the intricate design of a bee that buzzes by,
to see the confusion of unfair justice,
to see the wonder of man's mind.

These eyes were given to witness --
to witness kindness in spurts of randomness,
to witness the unfathomable realities,
to witness the ugliness of greed,
to witness the hope of man.

These eyes were given to share --
to share the uniqueness of each and every story,
to share the oneness in the heart of empathy,
to share tears that speak with eloquence,
to share laughter that proves to heal.

These eyes were given to feel --
to feel the needs beyond what the eye can see,
to feel the ache beyond what words can explain,
to feel the warmth of kindness's hand,
to feel the beauty of life as it remains indescribable.
