Finding a place in this world in which you belong is harder than maybe one assumed. Even if you have an idea of what you want to do with your existence, plans change, people change, you change. The goals and aspirations you once had may become a fantasy of the past. Sometimes what you intentionally wanted turns into something you unintentionally have come to regret. Plans, people, time, they are all part of something that is bigger than your control. Your life and existence has so much more meaning than what this world has to offer. God provides. Trust in him with all your heart and lean not in your own understanding. Pray. Meditate. Forgive. Life may go on around you, but God is constant. Plans are meant to change. People are meant to be different. God is forever and always. There is no shame in the Lord. There is no “maybe” with God. Find who you are in him and be true to yourself, but more importantly be true to Jesus Christ.

As society becomes prominent within our daily lives,
Goals and dreams become something culture as a whole initially strives.
As the world explains how to do tasks, how to learn, and how to feel,
It becomes harder and harder for one to understand how they really feel.

With society breathing down your neck like a dragon breathes its fire,
how is one supposed to know to  what they individually aspire?

Always hearing “be yourself”, but please just fit in,
Being who you want to be might be considered sin.

It’s saddening how dependent people feel on others,
But when you’re alone, it’s what’s inside that initially uncovers.

Given the chance to be who you are is a task within itself,
As society tells you to be different, but hide your originality on a shelf.

If you desire to be your own person, be true to who you are,
Society doesn’t determine your self worth, shine like the first great star.
If you truly aspire to be yourself,
Don't look up to culture to determine your personal wealth.

I believe that we are the church, in the ways that we worship, love, and give praise.
As a community, and as individuals throughout years, within days.
With a roof over our heads and walls surrounding, or within the open air, creation abounding.
I believe that the church is embodied within the proclamations that are preached.
Within the prayers and the praises, sufferings and healings that are reached.
I believe faith resides in the church.
Most importantly, as people are tested by God, but also in the ways that Christ is searched.
As love is spread and salvation proclaimed,
grace given, as Christians are no longer ashamed.
The church is upstanding, high on a hill.
In every way, shape, and form, Christ has come to fill.
Within every heart that is burdened, the gospel rings true.
I know of the church, because the church is in you.
