These city streets are empty and cold
Devoid of life
Not a soul walks here but me
Alone in a world of sadness and pain
With tattered mind
And a broken heart

Life is a harsh endeavor
Joy sparse and brief
Tragedy lurks around the corners
One can do nothing to avoid
So I march head on into it
Embracing my fate

Nothing lasts forever
Save one thing, Death
So to death I walk
With my head held high
Hoping to find a more hospitable place
Than this Earth

Empty room
Empty heart
I just wanna go back to the start
the start of it all
the walk before the fall
Beginning before the end
When
when will it end
The hurt
before being put in the dirt
before dirt is all i know
I mean c'mon we all know this is a show
for all the foes
and the hoes
who dared
dared to doubt my creativity
To suffer your insensitivity
to my insecurities
because when you're in your thirties
I'll be in my prime
while you wont be able to drop a dime
for the shattered
dreams wasted
seams burned
hate overturned
only crushed dreams
left for you, never me

I could not doubt the devotion of a Toy Soldier
To stand for so long
For what has been forsaken

His shoes
Which, once upon a time, had been black
Are now chipped and stained
His buttons
Once brilliant and polished
Are now dull and hanging only by threads
His face
Once adorned with regal features
Is now distorted and deformed

Tell me Toy Soldier
How heavy is that rifle
The one you have never dropped
The one you never gave up
And how weary are your legs
Cursed to carrying the burden of your own weight
For as long as you last

Tell me Toy Soldier
Where are you now
Lonely and forgotten
Outdated and obsolete

So why Toy Soldier, why
Do you stand there still

Across the room you sit
Absorbed in thought
Biting your lower lip
While you contemplate
Lord knows what
But I wish it was me

Shyly, I stare at you
My bangs hiding my eyes
Praying you don't notice me
But wanting nothing more than to attract your attention
And perhaps I could draw a smile
From your thin red lips

You're beautiful
Not in the flashy, mini skirt kind of way
But in that subtle, wink across a crowded room style
Flying under the radar, until noticed
When you steal the show
And capture my attentions like nothing else can

I do not know why a girl like you
Would give someone like me a chance
So I sit here dreaming, hoping, longing
For the day when I get the courage to walk over and ask
If you'd spend some time with me
And pray you say yes

I can't help but feel
That this isn't how life was supposed to be
I was not intended to be born
Wanting nothing more than to perish
And escape from all the suffering
That has plagued me for all of my days
And has kept me trapped inside
A broken heart, an empty mind

Death would be a release
From the day to day struggles
That weigh me down
Battering my willpower
Eroding any and all chances I have
To be happy, and normal
Instead of forcing smiles
With dead eyes

One shot should do the trick
Or a noose, nice and thick
So as to hold up the bulk of my sorrows
That have been on my shoulders for years
Better yet a handful of pills
And a dignified departure
From a miserable life
Into a blissful end

A
Surprise
is a silent killer
A death whisper in the
dark Taking away lives but
never love. Flesh and Blood but
never soul and mind  Never heart and
love as a whole. Life as we know it is a short
story . Something you should take in all it's glory.
Never take your life for granted in one moment you
could get short handed. A whole life gone in a blink of
an eye. At least I can say he was a great guy. Death is not
a forgiving friend, nor something to commend, Death is a
forever end. Claiming lives without warning. Causing a
lifetime of mourning. Changing fate, death is hate.
Something we all wish could wait. A thing
we want to stop when it's too late
When you are only left
wishing for a clean
slate
-Death struck my community today this poem is my heart going out to the family
It is meant to be the shape of a tear.

Although you seek truth,
I disparage your reason;
look toward heaven.
