Sitting up there bright and bold
My feet stand insecurely bare
Bigger than our earthly hold
It's hard to break from the stare

Feeling the pull of its weight
Captivates with such control
Like a fish brought in with good bate
It drives and questions, what is the soul?
There's this feeling I get
Each day I try to figure it out
I wish I knew the right thing to do
But the thought of messing it up lurks in the back of my mind

The feeling is bright
Hopeful in every single way
Keeping life in sight
Afraid of what to say

For not to come on too quick
Must maintain my patience
This boy is worth the wait
I'm unsure if he feels the same way

Let him know
That I am here
Accuracy with my bow
Relieve me of a lonely fear
