a while ago,
I stopped picking up pennies
on the ground
with the thought in mind
that it would be kinder
to leave them
for someone in more need
of luck than me.
and just a day ago,
I saw a penny that I hadn't
picked up.
on the ground,
ten feet from where it had been
a week before;
in the middle of a major walkway,
it sat neglected, dejected,
scratched and worn.
it's the pennies that need pennies.
A Beast of a man in appearance and soul,

A silhouette of her memories chilling him cold,

Sitting alone with his thoughts hating time,

Screaming inside trying to shatter his mind,

Immune to pain from his love of Roses,

The beautiful thorns struck vivd poses,

His love was a curse, She laid it herself,

A disease, a sickness, It shattered his health,

It occured at first sight of this beauty, This Belle,

Time had been spent she was treating him well,

His eyes wet with tears, His cold heart growing warm,

Foreshadowing revealed the oncoming storm,

She had to go away with a promise of return,

He gave her a ring and his voice had been stern,

He brushed her cheek gently and said very clear

"Remember my love, Im always right here"

After being home and revisitng her life,

She decided to stay, an unsuspected knife,

With the last of his soul he picked a final rose,

In the dark of his castle where the sun never rose,

Be it magic or hope the rose never dies,

Never to be witnessed by another Belles eyes,

He locked it away, Hidden without fail,

You say youve heard this? An old Fairytale?

I guess it is close. Similar at least,

Look closely my friend.. I am the Beast.
She said, over and over,
That she went back to black,
but never was she anywhere else.
A poetic tribute to Amy Winehouse.
If my lips appear to fall upon your thoughts,
that is where
they are supposed to be.
At night,
when your ears hear pages
of the faintest verse
whispering on your neck,
it is my way of telling you everything
will be alright,
go back to sleep,
it is just me.

If you feel the softest kiss in the morning
as if the sun
has filled the passageways
of your heart
with everything you miss.
The radiance you feel in these spaces
is not a dream
in which you have fallen,
nor random chance,
it is my way
of sending you bliss.

If your temperature rises in a delightful instant,
eternally warming your soul
with a drink
and leaving your heart glowing.
It is because it holds the promises
my heart placed long ago
in a chalice called my love
where you can drink
of a warmth overflowing.

I am always with you
even on those nights
that seem to never end.
I walk delicately across your mind
tying the strings of your heart
to my own.
You can hear my voice
when my lips fall upon your thoughts
whispering,
“I love you, My Heart,
I’m coming home.”
