On the edge of a chasm I stand.
I walked here, behind me familiar land.
Of what is beyond stories I’ve heard
In my obsession I hear every word.
Treasure, adventure, fiery dragons slain
Few hear the parts of perseverance and pain.
What awaits me? Should I take this step?
My next step is small, return I cannot.
Fear holds my ankles, I have to or rot.

Something had to die and die it did,
To loosen the ties of the fear’s grip.
Forget what’s behind or simply don’t care,
I will take this leap to the place of nowhere.
Winter garden,
the moon thinned to a thread,
    insects singing.

A year perhaps no more
when the stories of my mind
came pouring skipping forth
lexical, poetical with rind
haiku like, lucid and sore

Episodes of haibun
comic stripped whole
a playwright and haikuist
with a mountain biker's soul
loving that **** violinist

I can't rhyme, so
how did this all happen?

I feel as if I am on another world
No one hears me
I am silenced

I know I am never heard
No one hears me
I am silenced

Nobody knows my true self
No one hears me
I am silenced

My pleas are swept away
No one hears me
I am silenced

I am swept away in the wind
No one will ever hear me
No matter how hard I scream
I am forever silenced
