 May 2013 flower
Andr-o-meda
Shattered faces on the moon
Melting clocks, melting too soon

Broken hearts left on the floor
Because they can beat anymore

People crying, people trying
To pull through the night

Sowers of light
Explode before their eyes

Falling to the ground
People breaking down

As they slip through the cracks
More thunder claps

Sirens wailing
People despairing

It's all over much too soon

Swim away
From the river in my eyes
Suppressed by the dam of insecurity
Water slowly leaking over the edge

Out of the reservoir
Out into the open
Crushing the bystanders
With millions of gallons of water

Why are my eyes so blue?
Holding back the waters
that run on the inside
Just breaching the surface

I can't shut it off
It won't go away
So I will just sleep
To turn off my brain

If not forever
Then for just a few hours
For just a moment of peace
With just a moment of sleep

Andr-o-meda
Shaking
Like a leaf in the wind
Not so tranquil
Not so safe

Because I could just blow away
Free to be lost
Or I could stay
Safe where I will die but still connected

Grasp as tight as I can
But I want to let go
Of the stem and the root
Holding me to safety
