Scar lit and neon burned
each night's a lesson learned
an empty footstep
she stands beside the curtain
mind wide then swept aside
tiny tears on tiny eyes
a shadow falls
she sees the lights
hope is floating
just another coating
she feels a tug
she smells the sweat
she twitches once
born to forget
this moment
never in a liars dream
could she believe such a scene
thoughts overwhelmed her
as she blinked
Suddenly it's not a dream.
