Right person, wrong time.
Existing Human Jan 2014
I love you,
and you love me.
Yet we are right where we need to be.
You with her,
and I with him,
our love for each other,
hanging by a limb.
We have a love so strong and true,
I know someday I will be with you.
I met the right person at the wrong time,
but someday our love will be divine.

Alone.
Existing Human Jan 2014
She is alone,
in a dark maze,
filled with twists and turns,
black as night with only her heart to guide her.
No sounds stir the silence,
just her breathing and the slow,
steady beat of her heart,
like a drum.
Du-dun, du-dun, du-dun.
She continues on, then stops suddenly.
There are two paths in front of her,
to go left,
or to go right.
She stands there for what seems like years,
struggling with the decision.
A glance to the right offers nothing but darkness,
to the left however, shines a dim light near the end.
Is she to be tempted?
What if its meant to trick her,
fool her into making the wrong choice?
These thoughts form in her mind,
her heart is confused,
it offers no assistance.
She’s on her own.
She is alone.

The Darkness
Existing Human Jan 2014
I lie awake in my bed,
the pillows my gates,
shutting out the world.
My blankets are my protectors,
the darkness my shield.
I scream in a house full of people,
nobody hears me,
but my body does,
my thoughts do,
my fingers grasp blindly,
finding a pen.
My hands dance across the paper,
in swift, hurried motions,
as I bleed onto this paper,
I bleed words,
filled to the brim with pain, sorrow.
It's here in the darkness I can bleed freely.
The darkness understands.
The darkness hears my screams.

Silence.
Existing Human Jan 2014
Tears,
bursting with feelings,
sorrow,
pain,
spill out of my eyes,
stream down my face,
my neck,
my arms.
They slide their way to my fingertips,
and drip onto the keyboard.
One by one,
those tears are united,
a cumulation of letters.
These tears create words,
while I am silent.

Without You
Existing Human Jan 2014
Your kisses were rain drops,
your love was a hurricane.

Now i'm stuck in this drought,
possibly going insane.

lost
Existing Human Jan 2014
My heart,
was suspended by a string,
dangling.
You cut it.
Swore you would protect it,
never harm it.
You broke it.
I left,
crying,
lost,
he found me.
Offered to pick up the pieces,
wanting to put me back together.
I pushed him away,
not wanting to be broken, battered,
again.
He left.
I cried,
alone.
You succeeded,
I'm still lost.
