I AM TIRED

I AM TIRED

I can't do those class assignment for my degree,
So my friend offers to take them for me,
Yes, he wants us to proceed together,
And after marking we get good results,
But another one comes, difficult and i cant manage,
Like always, he's ready to assist, however, i think I'm tired,
Tired of saying "THANK YOU".

I don't have a pen in class,
And Atieno has two so she lends me one today,
Tomorrow it's Benjamins turn to assist,
Rono giggles in mockery, I still don't have one,
Looks funny for not having even on the third day but he's willing to help,
I'm tired though,
Tired of saying "THANK YOU".

There's a doctor who lives in the neighbourhood,
Today he saw the strange rashes all over my body,
He's concerned, offers to assist,
He thinks I'm careless but nonetheless,
He approaches me and insists on helping,
Should I take the offer, for I am tired,
Tired of saying THANK YOU".

Life stresses me up,
So I visit a bar and sit at a coner,
Every morning through evening,
People give me sips of different liqour,
I get tipsy and happy, I blinded of my pain for a while,
But today I won't go for I'm tired,
Tired of saying "THANK YOU".

With friends we branch at a cheap eatery,
It's obvious I won't pay,
I want to but i cant,
For my wallet is empty, I have no penny,
They'll settle the bill, should I eat today?
Because I'am tired,
Tired of saying "THANK YOU".

I don't have land to till,
But my family has to eat,
So people lend me seed and land to farm,
I harvest not so much but we're all happy,
It's another season, so again they want to help,
But I'm very tired,
Tired of saying "THANK YOU".

Hurray!
Evans is a Christian and has a Bible,
I read a few chapters and feel there's hope,
I understand I need to do something and hope,
Hope that one day,
Yes, that in future I won't get tired,
Tired of being told "THANK YOU".

TIME'S UP
Evans Martins Jan 2021
Times up for a fix,
I have to restore my life,
Yes restore to factory settings,
That my Father High initiated.

Time's up to rethink,
And have proceed real quick,
And reshuffle the room,
To stabilize a brain and set it up again.

Time's up to brainstorm,
For waiting will take too long,
And distract me from the course,
With that i shall fall.

Time's up to stagger
But proceed with haste and caution,
My might not to waste again,
OHH! All will be well...

Time's up for a mute,
I pray for my well being,
So the system gets fully restored,
And save this horse not to throw,
Yes, not to throw its last,
But jump with kicks of life saying, Hurrah...
