The exquisite taste of iron
Lingering enclosed
A sanguineous river
The bequest of mine adversary
A purple mottled blossom
Burgeoning forth
Flowerbed of
Battered frame
Extinguished flame
The corporeal battlefield
Ravaged

Iniquitous intentions
And dominating force
Unabated terror
Reigning forth

As with every new bloom
It claims new ground
A daring boldness
Possessed of strategy
With motives unsound

A brink battled raged
Body consumed
Lost shattered frayed

Within and closer
A planted cerebral seed
Rising forth malady

Nevermore unchanged
Though the body heals
The mind retains
Lasting casualties
Slivered charred remains
Woman wants monogamy;
Man delights in novelty.
Love is woman's moon and sun;
Man has other forms of fun.
Woman lives but in her lord;
Count to ten, and man is bored.
With this the gist and sum of it,
What earthly good can come of it?
Julia, I bring
          To thee this ring,
Made for thy finger fit;
          To show by this
          That our love is
(Or should be) like to it.

          Close though it be
          The joint is free;
So, when love’s yoke is on,
          It must not gall,
          Or fret at all
With hard oppression.

          But it must play
          Still either way,
And be, too, such a yoke
          As not too wide
          To overslide,
Or be so straight to choke.

          So we who bear
          This beam must rear
Ourselves to such a height
          As that the stay
          Of either may
Create the burden light.

          And as this round
          Is nowhere found
To flaw, or else to sever:
          So let our love
          As endless prove,
And pure as gold for ever.
Why I tie about thy wrist,
      Julia, this my silken twist;
For what other reason is ‘t,
But to show thee how, in part,
Thou my pretty captive art?
But thy bondslave is my heart;
’Tis but silk that bindeth thee,
Knap the thread and thou art free:
But ’tis otherwise with me;
—I am bound, and fast bound, so
That from thee I cannot go;
If I could, I would not so.
Display thy *******, my Julia—there let me
Behold that circummortal purity,
Between whose glories there my lips I’ll lay,
Ravish’d in that fair via lactea.
Is this true
darling
what I hear
that the cult you submitted o
won’t let you see mum and dad?
And little Tom you left behind?
That the leader takes you nights
to tell you
God wants him to
explore your body and give Him an account?

Is this true
darling
what I hear?
that the cult you submitted to
has convinced you
Last Days are here
and in the fear of it all
you **** in your pants?
O lucky you
you’re the chosen one
you make holy water
so call in your cult
and let them drink it
or let them all lick it off your legs
tell them,
darling:
‘Here drink of this
the holy water
or lick it off
salt and urea
produced with faith and fear’

Give it back to the cult
tell them it is benediction
of Last Days
and they who drink it
will be amongst the elect
and those who lick it off
will sit on the right hand side of God;
and darling
produce prodigious amounts
as in the time of the Great Flood
tell them to queue and not squabble
there’s plenty for everyone of you
and if they say
they’re hungry
if you could
bring in holy food
tell them
a visit to the Scurvy Dogs Pound
can easily be arranged

O is this true
darling
what I hear?
that the intelligence
and mind
nature took so long to make in you
you blew it
on charlatans and nincompoops
and yourself became one?
Your love is sweeter.
It falls as dew drops
Blanketing the earth,
Covered with jewels
Glimmering in the sun,
Crowned by your diadems,
Made greater by your love,
We lay in this sun-splashed meadow as one.
The wind kisses my face,
Caresses my skin.
You meet my gaze and
I look into the sea-green depths,
Holding mysteries contained and unrevealed.
Hesitant, you reach out to me,
Breaching the distance
Your hand rests on my cheek.
By one touch, these seas spill forth in unrelenting passion,
Blissfully lost to you I am.
Your every movement selfless, beautiful.
The sun, eclipsed by your presence, shines no more
Giving way to the night.
The stars awake and I look to the once blue sky,
Still cloudless, these stars shine bright.
Here alone with you, your love consumes me.
I am lost in you, to you, inescapably.
Anything, everything outside of you dissipates, evaporates.
In this meadow our hands entwined, unbreakable
This union sacred, divine, irreplaceable.
Nights, days, weeks, months, years, I pass with you;
Never was there a love more true.
Sitting, waiting, contemplating…
Is it time?
I watch the waves roll up as they kiss the sand.
A sizzle escapes into the air.
The hot, scorching fire put out
Hushed, quieted.
I’m dying…
The clouds float in the water, the sky
The gulls swim, fly
My skin is pink, my energy drained
The sun greedy, taking, stealing away
I’m dying...
I resign, no hope, gone. It’s gone.
I walk ankle-deep
The waves grab at my legs, tugging
“Come” the waves call “Come” they whisper
So seductive, tempting, easy
Knee-deep the wind rushes around me, tussles my hair
The water, cold, numbing, driving my senses
I’m dying…
It pulls, tugs, pushes up to my thighs, my waist
The cold, I **** in a breath, calm
Calming, the rocking, the swaying
I hear the whispers. The wind calls. It beckons. It’s hungry.
“Let go”
I’m dying…
It’s easy. I float, I surrender
The waves sweep me away, buoying me up
I feel light, weightless. It’s so simple.
Beautiful, the waves reach over me, embrace me
The cold is gone, no the heat rushes in, burns
But only for a moment
The dark comes, consumes, soothes
Nothing more, never more…
Finished.
I am the host of your viral nature
Infected and subjugated
You have climbed inside of me
Completely unabated
Left to run your course

Your tentacles leeching out
Sapping my strength
Invading all I am
My very soul,
Wanes under your control
My veins collapse in protest
Screaming for release
A broken plea
Escapes my lips
A dying wish,
A hopeful reprieve
What else can I do?
I am so powerless against you
