Thank you.

You taught me
how to love

And for that
I am grateful

My walls
you brought down.
Brick by brick.
Until finally
I was
open.
Free.

I was scared,
though.
And away I ran.

You found me.
You loved me.
And I was complete.

That was your purpose,
I suppose.

To free me.

We drifted apart.
And I ran away.
Again.

This time,
I did not want you to follow.
This time,
I was the one
who set you
Free.

Free of me.
Free of the pain
I had caused.

I hope you are happy now.
Truly, I do.
Because you taught me how to love,
Even when I was cruel.

I will always love you.
Even if
it's not
how you thought I would.
I apologize for any grammatical errors. My computer thinks that it knows every single grammar rule known to man, even though it doesn't.
