How to be intertwined with a body
A body that was not yours to start
But has somehow become a beacon of home
Lingering touches leave trace marks, pathways, to find a way back if ever separated or lost
By crowds, or grocery store isles, or time
The way back always comes with anticipation of that wholeness being restored
The reuniting of lost pieces and parts that melt back into place like they've always known their place was here
Here with this body you didn't know before but can't imagine ever not knowing it
The curves and edges, the rough patches and nooks
There was no before them and this body
There will only be after

I went to the gallery after our first date
I went to the gallery after it ended
I always liked symmetry

I can't save you from the depths you're drowning yourself in
You've created a place that no others can reach
And you want to stay there
It's easier than dealing with the pain
I wish I could save you
But you don't want to be saved
You thrive in this world you've created
It's easy there and you've tricked yourself into believing that
You claim to only know that pain
But you know the only reason you're there is because you've created it yourself
I want to save you
But you don't want to be saved
I could give you the world and you would still turn away out of spite
You are callous and cold and hate the thought of the light
You claim to have only known the dark
But you cannot see that this cuts deep into everything I thought we were
In your bitterness you've destroyed us
You created doubt within me that never existed before
And now I'm falling down your rabbit hole into your dark abyss
Losing grasp on my world and my light
You don't want to be saved
But I do

Even if we shared the same wish upon the same shooting star, fate would still not let us be together

Every shooting star's wish wouldn't change how you feel about me

I wanna find trouble
and let it take me on a wild journey,
A journey worth remembering
Life changing, exhilarating
Beyond any of the wildest dreams,
Beyond anything known
Something spectacular, breath taking
The trouble I find will be encompassing
Swallow me whole and envelope me within it
To find trouble like that
Is to find paradise.
