Falling Apart
Emily Coon Jun 2011
False emotions run adrift putting on quite a skit.
Lies and truths no longer plain.
Nothing is left at all the same.
Everything falls apart left with little to restart.
This love game was cruel to all forcing one to make the call.
Throw in the towels on this tragic match.
Shut the lid, lock the latch.
Hide away everything you had.
Left to feel both lonely and mad.

Love Game.
Emily Coon Jun 2011
Misery, sadness, and heart break
are all within my wake.
Broken pieces scattered about
of the things I've thrown out.
Untold secrets, not quite lies
bring about all these goodbyes.
Vivious and vile you will see
are the words used for me.
****** away your heart I will
letting all your emotions spill.
Unrelenting, cannot stop,
all their walls begin to drop.
Swooping in I take the leads
sooner or later, they all heed.
Toying like a coy cat
up until the mouse goes splat.
Finished with this little game
who is the next to be mamed?
Emily Coon Dec 2010
Addicted to this feeling you give to me,
Oh how I wish there was a we.
Unable to spill the beans on how I feel,
Still large wounds need to heal.
Make the first move, I'll be yours,
Wishing that there was more.
Logic held back what was there,
Fear making eveything unfair.
Plain as day for all to see,
It was clear as mud for me.
I was left out of the loop,
Simply put I had been dooped.
Your witty comments, and silly jokes,
Were very far from being a hoax.
True blue you had been,
While I explained, "We're just friends."
Is it wrong to dream of love?
After all I am so young.

Walls.
Emily Coon Nov 2010
Darkness slowly closing in, all the walls being to
bend.
Pushing toward a common goal, looking to press your
soul.
Smashing, grinding, squishing too; are the things done to
you.
Slowly eroding who you are, this has gone much to
far.
As the pressure slowly builds, you are left without a
shield.
Slowly flattened by the cries, for you untimely
demise.
Pain is strong also fear, screaming loud but none can
hear.
Will this by my final breath?
Left to worry, wonder, fret.....

Fall
Emily Coon Oct 2010
Fall is here, fall is here, let us all shout and cheer!
Pumpkins, apples, and mums too, are all available for you.
Ghosts, goblins, and gouls galore, come for candy at your door.
As the leaves begin to fall all the bugs are a crawl.
Into the ground they go, running to and fro.
Flowers frightened by the frost retreat to hiding save the moss.
Seasons changing all around soon the snow will be in mounds.
All around you can see fall brings lots of glee.

Laziness
Emily Coon Oct 2010
Lazy day why oh why did you have to stop by?
Tired, sleepy, reluctant too, having absolutely nothing to do.
Your bed calls, drowsily you fall.
Nap time doesn't help at all.
Boredom chips slowly away at the long and dreary day.
Unsatisfied with your toys today brings no joy.
Hours pass slowly by finally you say goodbye
To that awful lazy day that happened by your way.

Empty
Emily Coon Oct 2010
Death sweeps in taking its toll.
The asking price? One soul.

Left behind is the emptiness
Falling into the great abyss

Lots of items left behind
Tons of treasures for you to find

Some hold on finding it rough
Others purge all of this stuff

Day by day ups and downs
Sometimes smiles  sometimes frowns

Laughter, crying, emotions low to high
Missing you with days gone by
Anger unleashed, curses fly

Blaming God for your misery
Blinding rage is all you see

Pain and suffering in your wake
Happiness seems so fake

Little reminders everywhere
Memories from here and there

Broken lives tattered and torn
Left alone to weep and morn.

Who Am I?
Emily Coon Oct 2010
Through the night I am scary.
The animals live within me,
Stirring and scrambling all throughout me.
I cast shadows here and there,
I howl in the wind.
I am the reason you are frightened.
You scurry at the site of me.

Daylight brings about a change,
The children run to me for protection.
I am a gorgeous site,
I reach high into the sky.
Flowers often grace me drafting sweetly.
I am a symbol of life.

Opposites exist in one,
One as dark as night, the other as bright as day.

Emily
Emily Coon Oct 2010
Being Emily is a mighty task.
Inconsistancy never lasts.
Freshness fades, getting old.
Not so greatly bold.
Give it time, you will see,
There isn't much to me.

Alone
Emily Coon Oct 2010
All around me seasons change,
yet I am left quite the same.

Restless, hopeful, wanting more,
scratching endlessly at the door.

People come and go,
moving slowly with the flow.

Here am I alone in the sea,
an exile island just for me.

Looking Glass
Emily Coon Oct 2010
Comfort, Closeness fading fast, these ties aren't meant to last.
All alone once again, right back where I began.
Back to my cage I run, everything coming undone.
No more adventures to plan, all alone in this barren land.
People come and people go, tumbling down my rabbit hole.
Curious are they who come to play, amongst the great array.
Caught off guard by what they find, I'm left alone with my mind.
Unable to decipher what they saw, feeling greatly appalled.
All the while things change, making me seem quite strange.
Unable to process what I am, people quickly scram.
Far away they flee, left alone with memories.

Card Night
Emily Coon Oct 2010
Banter flies around the room,
Name calling & shrieks sing their own tune.
Shuffle, shuffle, along we go,
Anxious, unsure, "Oh you ***."
Smack, smack, smack, fighting for that spot.
What a mess, organizantionless.
Only one will declare they have won,
Pounce! and the game is done.
Curses thrown all around.
Shuffle, shuffle, snap, snap, snap.
Final tally and that is that.

Broken Heart
Emily Coon Oct 2010
Missing snuggles, missing hugs.

Heart stings pull and tug.

The need for love is strong,

Getting pulled slowly along.

Craving care, that's no longer there.

By yourself, on your own,

feelings come and feelings go.

Sweet nothings no longer said,

lying alone, awake, in bed.

Broken, in shambles, quite a mess,

your heart can't cope with loneliness.

Rabbit Hole.
Emily Coon Oct 2010
Tell me things I want to hear,
Whisper sweet nothings in my ear.
Voice like velvet, smooth and fine,
Ask me softly "Will you be mine?"
Cradle me close hold on tight,
This is the day its time for flight.
Into the unknown come on lets go,
Jumping down the rabbit hole.
Tumbling, jumbling,oh what fun!
And to think our adventure's only begun.
Come with me and you'll see,
All the possibilities.
Break these chains, come be free,
Away from our old enemies.
Share with me all you are,
Take a chance we'll go far.

Cravings.
Emily Coon Oct 2010
Mind racing, thoughts pacing, craving all you can't have.
Nonstop motion within this skull, your restless soul pushing its bounds.
Need eats these ties that bind.
All that was natural, now foreign.
Your world has flipped, meanings lost.
Pain floods the senses promising to crush.
Waves of anger, waves of hate flood the shores.
Anguish infests every thought, as tears flow silently filling empty promises.
Elephants in the room close in squandering hopes, extinguishing dreams, and smothering happiness.
Lights dimming this feeling beginning.
Fears flourish in the night, sleep evades, nightmares enclose.
Silent screams fill the air, as panic quickens this aching heart.
Have they seen what lies behind these cold eyes?
Mind Racing, Thoughts Pacing.

Night
Emily Coon Oct 2010
Wails of sorrow fill the air,
darkness devours courage that was there.
Your painted face begins to run,
and you are left quite undone.
In the raw for all to see,
plain as day is misery.
As you weep and cry,
you ask for one last goodbye.
Perhaps a hug, maybe a kiss,
from the loved one that you miss.
The heart has broken,
from those lost words spoken.
Gone away from here,
still held dear.
Loved ever more,
tears begin to pour.
Alone in the night,
Left to the fright.

The Call
Emily Coon Oct 2010
Pain and heartache in every pore.
No longer able to see the light.
Your soul cries for an escape, scrambling from the hurt that floods your heart.
The devil calls offering relief.
Your soul, that's his only request.
Give up this grief filled life for a new one.
Broken promises fill from his lips as you are lured slowly in.
Unable to refuse his offer you pass on your pain.
The horrible ache leaves your body and finds a fresh host.
As you sigh your last breath, hope returns for what lies beyond.
Sweet relief floods your senses and its over.
The devil greedily takes your hand and leads you on.
Suffering hangs over your body waiting to fest on new life.
Happy to find a new home when you are discovered.
A darkness falls as the word spreads....
You are dead.
