Careless Flame
Lin Dec 2020
For life,I could never fight
My so-called destiny, I would never protect
Call me self-destructive stardust
A mess and a simple pawn in this constant game of chess
The moon never lit up a path with my name on it
The sun never lovingly looked towards my future
My tears didn't look of diamond
The crimson blood was the only colour I had known for an eternity
Tell me, you careless flame
How did you change that..?

Midnight Questions
Lin Dec 2020
A perfect life of which I can only dream is stored inside sleepless hours full of thoughts, the mysteries of midnight in which only people who wish on stars are wide awake, not decifering themselves, but things they believe are more beautiful. The stardust shines in my veins as I write and wonder what my life could've been if I had trusted the moon and its guidance. If I followed your song, would you take me to a better sun or to an inevitable bitter-sweet ending?
Would you help me find a light I trust or would you help me build a home of darkness and shadows?
Would you tear me down to put me back together or would you leave me shattered on the icy floor of truths?
Would you give me roses made of lies and trick me with their thorns or a dandelion as fragile as one's soul?

The night sky
Lin Dec 2020
But in the late hours owned by colourful minds, I sit and wonder if my songs will ever have a purpose of their own, I sit and wonder wether my waltz with words touched someone's blue soul, I sit and wonder wether there will ever be a star that can guide me through my sea of fallen wings from misjudged angels
Dear moon, are you hearing my serenade?
Dear sun, where have you gone, lost in the faults of my past?
Dear stars, every night i swim through my thoughts making my way to you, oh won't you guide me to the constellation of my future that seems to be blurred by pieces ripped out of my heart?
Dear sky, won't you be as sweet as to part your grey clouds and show me a golden sun at least one more time before the wind takes me to a sorrowful violet finale?

The dance
Lin Nov 2020
I am neither in heaven nor hell
Despite the tricks I was made to believe, this life is a purgatory
I don't feel alive, yet death is an old friend that I can't face
I am in a never-ending waltz with fate,
In a ballroom of regrets and choices

And the dance will last forever,
Even if my soul is worn out
Even if my heart gets old
This immortal ellegance will remain

A mystery
Lin Nov 2020
But one thing that wasn't understood
A sacred blind secret known by everyone
There is a certain beauty in being a mystery and there is a certain charm in having your hands tied to the past
The satisfaction of putting a blindfold on someone with a changed image of yourself
Yet the immediate despair you sink in as you realize you were the one with the blindfold on
Your wings are gone and as you are falling, your tears become crystals of ice
The wish to stop the time in frozen bits and watch it burn later on
fades in thin air as your oh-so-pure soul becomes nothing but a dungeon of lies as fragile as a snowflake yet protected by your forever changing mask
And so,you became a mystery.

My word
Lin Nov 2020
I made a promise with the universe
I gave a piece of myself and my soul for a string tied around my heart
But when the stars glanced at me
They knew that string would be cut by destiny
The moon looked at me and I looked back, letting rivers of feelings flow through my words in the last seconds in which i could see the light that reflected in your eyes
And then I realised
My promise was for you
May the sun watch over you and may this uncontinued lullaby remain in your past
The stars stole us from eachother, yet i know my melody will keep me close to you
I know you will take care of the piece of my soul that remains forever tied to you

— The End —
