Suffocating,
   falling,
Holes dug in me by
Unsaid words, thin
Ice melting
Heart crushed - millions of words
Disappearing
Lights switched off too quickly,
Dust settling
Then silence.
Interminable quiet, infinite tension,
Snow falling in distant thuds
One lone body in a driveway, heart turned to stone and bones
Frozen. Blue, unkissed lips,
Falling, then
Darkness.

Everything is gone
In a vacuum of suffering and
Deep, dark wounds.
Internal bleeding causing blue-black
Welts under our skin until we are
Gone, exploding in a red mass of
Blood and screams.
A high-pitched, ear-piercing sound
Dug up my soul and slashed it with a
cold, sharpened knife.
My screams join theirs.
We are a howling black hole of semi-conscious
suffering and dark energy.
There is so much pain.
