Dim light in the distance gives me no comfort. Walking tirelessly, effortlessly, to a means of the impossible, that to which seems to be never ending, never ceasing, unabridged. Just take me, whoever you are, wherever you are. I can hear your footsteps in the mud as you eagerly tread closer to me, among the storms in the clouds and the rain that falls to the ground. Rain that never stops, clouds that never move; but this darkness that never leaves. Midnight, it has taken over me, and my struggle to keep going and I’m afraid. I’m afraid of this night, and I’m afraid of my accuser.
