Requiem for a dream
Edward Searson Sep 2013
Requiem for a dream,
A dream of bettering oneself,
A dream of freeing oneself from the cycle of poverty,
Cruelly woken by Debt’s chains,
Heavier than before.
The ladder kicked away,
Cruelly, swiftly they kick it away!
Goodbye Judas,
Was the 30 pieces of silver worth your honour,
You rob the hope of a better tommorow with a wave of your hand,
Your betrayal ,your lies,
Your words and deeds are the rope on which you will hang!
Requiem for a dream, laid low in the cold.

Life's Journey
Edward Searson Sep 2013
Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what’s to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay…

Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey’s quicker,
For some the journey’s slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We’ll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord

Autumn...
Edward Searson Sep 2013
In the other gardens
And all up the vale,
From the autumn bonfires
See the smoke trail!

Pleasant summer over
And all the summer flowers,
The red fire blazes,
The grey smoke towers.

Sing a song of seasons!
Something bright in all!
Flowers in the summer,
Fires in the fall!

Lonely Tonight
Edward Searson Sep 2013
Outside tonight it's bitter cold
The rain reflects the dim fading light
This loneliness is growing old
I'm all alone on this cold night

The wind is howling and blowing fast
Trees are swaying, quite a sight
I sit here hoping this won't last
Still alone on this cold night

My heart and soul are empty
It doesn't feel quite right
There is no one here but me
Here alone on this cold night

Seems like these feelings will never leave me
I suppose it's possible someday they might
But it seems to me I'm doomed to be
Forever alone, on this cold night

On The Table
Edward Searson Jul 2013
He laid her on the table.
So white clean and bare.
His forehead wet with beads of sweat.
He rubbed her gently everywhere.

He touched her neck and then caressed her breast.
And then drooling, felt her thigh.
The skin was wet and all was set,
He gave out a joyous cry.

The hole was wide...he looked inside.
All was dark and murky.
He rubbed his hands and stretched his arms...
And then he stuffed the turkey.

Broken Memory
Edward Searson Jun 2013
All my dreams have withered and died.
For this is the truth I can no longer hide.
I was left with nothing but the thoughts in my head.
And the painful memories, of sorrow and dread.

I hear all the voices form the mistakes that I’ve made.
All these regrets that I have long age paid.
Pain dwells where the eye cannot see.
A broken heart, a broken love.

Seering Desire
Edward Searson Jun 2013
The tortured cries of passion,
the bodies pain of lust,
the sticky juices of your love,
pure ecstacy in your touch.

Your sensual caress to my body,
the moist feeling of your lips,
given pleasure brought on in love
enlightened by your kiss.

My love, you are my ecstacy.
My heat, my sweat, my passion.
We belong within each other,
our souls, forever fastened.

Life
Edward Searson Jun 2013
What is honour compared to a woman's love?
What is duty against the feel of a newborn son in your arms,
We are only human, and the gods have fashioned us for love.
That is our great glory and our great tragedy.
Death is so terribly final, while life is full of possibilities,
So go live your life and treasure every moment.

Strength Within
Edward Searson Jun 2013
Never forget who you are, for surely the world won’t.
Make it your strength then it can never be your weakness.
Shield yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.

Passion
Edward Searson Mar 2013
I stare across the room at you,
And get turned on by the sumptuous view.
Thoughts of us together makes my pulse quickly beat,
My body tingles as I feel your heat!

I close my eyes when we touch tongue tips,
Drawing me yet closer, as we join our wet lips.
Your gentle whisper teases in my ear,
Getting us ready to remove our gear!

Thoughts of your body make louder screams,
As wild fantasies erupts from our lustful dreams.
Deep moans of pleasure echo within our love den,
Where we make love, again, again and again.

You quake as I hold you and feel your beating heart,
Melting, as hugs ignite ****** sparks to start.
Your touch allows flames of passion to be inspired.
Normal inhibitions are long since retired.

Each long kiss rockets us higher and higher,
Staying as one to fulfil each wanton desire.
And as we are approaching the end of our lives,
We'll know love's embers for the other never died.

Goodbye Mom..
Edward Searson Mar 2013
I went to a party Mom,
I remembered what you said.
You told me not to drink,
Mom, so I drank soda instead.

I really felt proud inside, Mom,
The way you said I would.
I didn't drink and drive, Mom,
Even though the others said I should.

I know I did the right thing, Mom,
I know you are always right.
Now the party is finally ending, Mom,
As everyone is driving out of sight.

As I got into my car, Mom,
I knew I'd get home in one piece.
Because of the way you raised me,
So responsible and sweet.

I started to drive away, Mom,
But as I pulled out into the road,
The other car didn't see me, Mom,
And hit me like a load.

As I lay there on the pavement, Mom,
I hear the policeman say,
"The other guy is drunk," Mom,
And now I'm the one who will pay.

I'm lying here dying, Mom....
I wish you'd get here soon.
How could this happen to me, Mom?
My life just burst like a balloon.

There is blood all around me, Mom,
And most of it is mine.
I hear the medic say, Mom,
I'll die in a short time.

I just wanted to tell you, Mom,
I swear I didn't drink.
It was the others, Mom,
The others didn't think.

He was probably at the same party as I.
The only difference is, he drank,
And I will die.

Why do people drink, Mom?
It can ruin your whole life.
I'm feeling sharp pains now,
Pains just like a knife.

The guy who hit me is walking, Mom,
And I don't think it's fair.
I'm lying here dying,
And all he can do is stare.

Tell my brother not to cry, Mom,
Tell Daddy to be brave.
And when I go to heaven, Mom,
Put "GOOD BOY " on my grave.

Someone should have told him, Mom,
Not to drink and drive.
If only they had told him, Mom,
I would still be alive.

My breath is getting shorter, Mom,
I'm becoming very scared.
Please don't cry for me, Mom.
When I needed you, you were always there.

I have one last question, Mom.
Before I say good bye.
I didn't drink and drive,
So why am I the one to die?

Tears From Our Life...
Edward Searson Feb 2013
I have seen birth and I have seen death.
Lived to see a lover's final breath.
Do you see my guilt? Should I feel a fright?
Is the fire of hesitation burning bright?

I have seen peace and felt so much pain,
Resting on the shoulders of your name.
Do you see the world through troubled eyes?
Do you see the truth or all their lies?

I have seen fear and I have seen faith.
Seen the look of anger on your face.
And if you want to talk about what will be,
Come and sit with me, and cry upon my shoulder,

You and I have lived through many things.
I'll hold on to your heart.
I wouldn't cry for anything,
But don't go tearing your life apart.

Forgive Me
Edward Searson Jan 2013
I know it really is a pity
The way you treat me now
I know you can’t forgive me
But forgive me anyhow.

The ending got so ugly
I even heard you say
You never ever loved me
But could you love me anyway

I dreamed about you baby
You were wearing half your dress
I know you have to hate me
But could you hate me less?

I used up all my chances
And you’ll never take me back
But there ain’t no harm in asking
Could you cut me some slack?

I’m naked and I’m filthy and there’s sweat upon my brow
And both of us are guilty, anyhow.
Have mercy on me baby, after all I did confess
Even though you have to hate me, could you hate me less?

It’s a shame and it’s a pity
I know you can’t forgive me
The ending got so ugly
You never ever loved me

In Years To Come
Edward Searson Dec 2012
My son runs to the shore
To the world that lies before
He can't hear my sound
He's much to in tune with the ground

He sees only the tide, surf and the sea
He's so focussed, oblivious to me

In years to come
I will still call him son
But he'll have no time to wait
He must see beyond his fate

He sees only the sun
And the wind make it free

Through the sheets of time
Are the wings of a bird
He'll come to his prime
To realise life is absurd

Is he holding the keys
To the world and his dreams?

Unrequited Love
Edward Searson Dec 2012
I know that you don’t feel for me
The way I feel for you.
We’re good friends, I value that,
There’s nothing you need do.

But as a friend I need to tell you
What is in my heart.
An unsaid truth is like a wall,
Keeping us apart.

My love for you will go nowhere,
It will just remain with me.
I’ll hold it in my quiet arms
And feel it constantly.

So Much I Love You
Edward Searson Dec 2012
Many  Friends Touch Our Hearts
This Happens Every Day
The Kind And Thougtful Things They Do
The Special Words They Say.

So Much We Take For Granted
So Busy With Things To Do
Sometimes We Even Forget To Say
My Friend I Dearly Love You.

Memories We Build Together
We Will Keep In Our Hearts
Thinking Of Them When Nights Are Long
Or When A New Day Starts.

So Starting Right Today My Friend
I Just Want You To Know
You Will Always Be Special

Slipping away
Edward Searson Dec 2012
Your eyelids are getting heavy
So hard to lift
Your mind begins to wander
Things start to drift
Your arms are getting heavy
Hard to lift
You sink down a little deeper
You're feeling wonderful

You stare across the harbour
At the lights along the bay
Your arms have got so heavy, now
They're just getting in your way

Now you're walking in the holy land
Yeah, that's you there, walking with the king
You ask "What have I done to deserve this?"
Why, you haven't done a thing

You....
Edward Searson Dec 2012
In the darkness of night, you have taken hold of me and set me free
your hands devour me
your mouth takes in every inch of who I am
clenched fists, I go inside
the warmth beckons and you cannot deny me
I crave you
I dream of you
I cannot be without you

Winters Chill
Edward Searson Dec 2012
The wind elopes with golden leaves,
Forsaking sad and naked trees,
The glade lies still and holds its breath,
As winter steals into its bed.
The sudden touch of icy fingers,
The frosty breath that chills and lingers,
Slows life and sends it off to dream,
As plant and beast lie in wait of spring.
Under a pristine, snowy blanket,
Life slows and slumbers and it dreams,
Hardly a creature stirs the silence,
And frigid stillness reigns supreme.
The snowy veil ebbs and parts, behold:
Warm sun rays loosen winter’s hold!
And life awakens from its slumber,
With renewed zeal and full of wonder.

Loved
Edward Searson Dec 2012
Midnight star
Light the way
For thoughts that change
Like night to day-
And bless the course
That runs in time
No matter how far
Shine my way.

I need to be loved
Yes I want to be loved
I gotta need to be loved
Like anyone else

Bring the night
Go bring all your thunder
Nearer the light
Shine here amongst us
No matter the flight
Fill me with with wonder.

Farewell
Edward Searson Dec 2012
I'm waiting on an angel
I know it won' t be long
To find myself a resting place
In my angel's arms

Waiting on an angel
One to carry me home
Hope you come and see me soon
Cause I don' t want to go alone
I don't want to go alone

Fantasy
Edward Searson Dec 2012
Before the darkness escapes us
desire fading away
make the moment last
as night intertwines with day.

I long to hear your beat.
crave to feel your pulse.
want to touch the heat.
I am your fantasy.

My name falls from your lips.
I long to feel your spirit.
crave to touch your body.
want to be your lover.
you are my fantasy.

Past Love
Edward Searson Dec 2012
Illusion turns to reality
Clay oven, fire, heat
The kiss, passion erupts
Standing in the rain, frozen heat
Your body is wet, torrential rains
The kisses become more sensual
Rain dripping down your face
I can taste your essence, I can smell your scent
Your body is wet, I feel fire
The taste of romance feeds my hunger
Miss you so much - x
