Starlight
Dylan Parsons Feb 2013
The light of the stars in the sky that I looked up to
Old memories and wishes are sent, crossing through time unfading
The cries of someone are reflected in your eyes with a sparkle, the feelings in the wind
The wishes in the moon, they all live within powerful limitations, today
Our feelings too, will one day continue to shine
With someone's heart, like those stars

One, two bell chimes resound vast and deep, to within the heart
Drops of stars like a story; fine tracks are amassed within them
The era moves along with time, and the flowing stars quietly move too
If you close your eyes, and listen closely, good bye

A bunch of black and white photographs of the sky, a blowing muffler, white breath
I want to get closer, even if it's just a little; running double time until we're on higher ground
If we take out a massive telescope
The lens will disturb the star dust
Time takes away time, and romance passes through the eras

Releasing the light, now we'll firmly pass through time without giving up
Until it reaches someone, the light of glory will go on and make a story
Beyond all of this, along with us

A baby's first cry is raised, a small light, a bit light
Crossing through space and time, they meet
All of the individual sparklings become one, and a story is created
Like the constellations that are connected point to point, if only
I could paint a beautiful picture for someone
Look up, hey, they're winter's diamonds
The creeping milky way, soon I'll be able to take back my courage

Releasing the light, now we'll firmly pass through
Time without giving up, until it reaches someone
The light of glory will go on and make a story
Beyond all of this, along with us

The sky is infinitely vast, yes
Beyond the sea, first breaths are taken, and lives are cut off
The stars shine down like goddesses
The moments of the four seasons repeat, continuing on for long times
That's good, we'll carve in our memories just a little bit
Passing through endless time, and starting to shine

The story continues on inside of my heart
One day, the you from that day will board the night train

Continue to shine, like those stars.

Never Ending Nightmare
Dylan Parsons Feb 2013
Amidst the passing time, a twinkling and ephemeral sparkling
I'm a believer that keeps walking, to carve his memories of it into the world
Having dreams that no one else can, I cast aside the things I don't need
Feelings that I won't surrender reside in my heart
There is still a gap between ideals and reality, even though the shackles of sacrifice prevent my feet from moving
I can't suppress the overflowing urge, because my heart is very wanting
"Lies", "fear", "emptiness", "grief", I'm not so weak that I'm
Gripped by all these kinds of negativities, I'm a trickster who knows no solitude
Flocks of buildings stab into the night sky, look up to the sky in which I can't see any stars
I ask myself "aren't you lost?"
The city is smeared with overflowing things
It's not something that's unrealistic
At the end of the road that connects us to the future, I want to see what I've got in my hand
Closing my eyes, I float on the sea of my senses, and envision it
The day that I have my ideals within my grasp
It's accepted in this world that "righteousness" has it's limits; and withering is foolishly the same way
Something that no one else has, toward a crystallization called "myself"
Piercing through simplicity, one day it will change into reality
I want to continue to obstinately believe, it's just my faith. The absolute truth.

One Heart
Dylan Parsons Feb 2013
Think of days, with no hope ,so alone in the dark I cried so many tears
Now I know the page was turning chapter one in my book of love.

But you came and you showed me that dreams can come true
I want you to know my hearts glows from your touch.
In your arms all my pain inside washes right through
Together we’ll find the way

Here we are hand in hand we watch the stars up in the sky they’re shining down on us
We can share everyday in every way we hold the promise of tomorrow

Hold me tight wanna feel you close don’t let me go
I want us to be until the end of time
Call my name any time when your heart feels sorrow
I’ll wipe the tears from your face

I’ll be there for you I’ll be right by your side
I promise to cherish eternally
You’re the only one to lead me through this life
I wish that our hearts could be one

Seasons are changing the snow’s coming down now
Melting from traces of our love
Never be alone
Forever more

I believe your love I believe in our love
No matter what I know our aim is true
Every step we take our love will grow stronger
I wish that two hearts could be one

I wish that our hearts could be one

Another Time, Without You
Dylan Parsons Feb 2013
You say "see you tomorrow"
Without thinking it over very much.
Right after you said this with a smile
I noticed that the you who can say
"See you tomorrow"
Is here with me.
If by some chance,
I end up
Doubting myself
At that moment, look,
Both the moon and the sun can't shine.
My hand I reach out
Is going beyond the light
Because there is a future
We wish for.
I can hear it, I can feel it
As you keep crying, as you stay who you are
I will convey this to you there.
Because it will reach, because it will echo
I will stay as I am, and
Embrace all of your sadness in my arms.
Even now, I still don't
Have that much confidence.
There are times you can't step forward
If you think to yourself, what will happen
If I make a mistake
Or if I look back?
If it's just that you can't make a choice,
Then there's no need to worry.
But then you also
Won't be able to change.
When was it? What happened?
They said it was no good anymore, that it was all over
At that time
What was it? Who was it?
Even like that, the reason I was able to somehow
Move ahead once again is because I was thinking,
Too you,
I believe, I'm believed in.
For you,
I feel like I can even fly in the sky
If it's for only your sake.

Mine
Dylan Parsons Feb 2013
Poetry is showing the world whats its like to be you. How you see it, hear it, and feel it. What makes you happy and sad. Poetry does not need to be a set rhythm or pattern. Poetry is emotion on paper, your computer, and pouring from your mind. It is the soul of who you really are and what drives you. Poetry is you, poetry is me. Poetry is the sky, the stars and the moon. It's never ending, always moving forward and showing you life lessons and helping you right your wrongs. Poetry, is life. Not a statement. My poetry lets me just throw everything I have on the table all at once, and letting people see my life from the inside. So don't judge me based on what I write down on the paper in front of me, because it is an extension of my body. You might not see the way I do but it is very important to me. It is my everything. So don't tell me I don't know what poetry is, because everything I write is about how I let you in and tear me down from the inside. I write about all the good times we had, and the bad. My poetry is my life set to the music in the background. So you cant tell me that my poetry is a statement, because my poetry is me. A part of who I am. Poetry. My poetry. It is beautiful and nothing you say will ever make me stop writing.
