Dylan Burns Dec 2013
We grow
We are not made
We can not be assembled
We complex ourselves mentally and physically
From seed to tree
To leaves and apples
Unique with feelings
They can't be put into words
Only expressed
Make the history of mankind a great one
More love less hate
More expression and less depression
I don't know me without you and you can't know you without me
I can't see my own eyes without a mirror
What lies behind my eyes?
I feel myself beat my heart and fall into the feeling of love
But never in my mind do I decide to
There is nothing to say, only to feel
Be love and receive love
Know kindness and receive kindness
Be true to yourself and receive people who will be true to you
For today you possess the people in your life based upon the person you are
The better you holds better rewards
Never stop growing

Find your candle
Light it
Show everyone how bright it is
Some will come to blow out your light
They may fail or succeed
But you still are holding the candle and the matches
Don't hide it under the table or in the corner but where it illuminates the whole room
Let it be yours and let others find you from the darkness
Then and always will they protect it
Light someones world and they will light up yours

Her face comes up when I replace my negative thoughts
All I could need simply fades
Distant, but still I know the scent of her where I can almost taste and feel
The senses are as real as when we dream
I do not suppress myself but allow to express in me that which comes from me
For if I retain it would end in eternal pain
This is not to obtain or gain but to make amends
To my heart for what my mind has done
Dylan Burns Dec 2013
I won't be controlled
Freedom is what I say it is!
I do as I wish as so others
For no man can leash me
I am the Shepherd of my own self
Then how is it that I obey the voice above?
Preached by man that he rules all and we are to follow
To be ruled by man but not the creator
Though we are all made in reflection of gods image
So must we all rule? Why am I cast down below ruled by my own image?
Am I not that? Which is god and god itself is me
Are we all me and god and each other?
Who am I?

The dead will laugh
For they know what is in the aftermath
What is left to be my own
In a world not ever completely shown
With an attacking ego
It must be dueled with the unspeakable feelings of the body to let go
All that which makes I unique
Invites me to grow or sink
For my mind will only calculate and analyze
That which can not be theorized
No words or sounds can be found
So it is to be and allow yourself to be the ground
