Aurora Borealis
Darshikia Oct 2018
As I take the last step, a reflection appears in my eyes,
A reflection so beautiful, something transmundane,
I gaze in astonishment as the colours dance before me,
A gentle breeze caresses my cheeks, making my hair dance in rhythm.

A euphoric feeling, makes the whole situation inexplicable,
By the mixture of calm and excitement,
An iridescent feeling is born,
So eccentric and beautiful.

I close my eyes as I feel the lights become a part of me,
I witness such a magical moment, my life right before my eyes,
As yet again, my eyes behold,
A striking contrast, of the dark sky and the nacreous stream above.

I witness the stars losing their importance,
The moon losing its identity,
For as my wide eyes try to take in the beauty,
Everything else fades away.
