Reality
Dominique Celine Dec 2013
Your hand reached for mine, as though it searched for it's home
once you whispered in my ear,
"You're beautiful."
A faint pink glow illuminated from my cheeks and in return,
I planted a gentle kiss upon your tender lips,
which reminded me of the sweet taste rich chocolate tended to contain.

My eyes open and focus
on the bedroom ceiling.
"Oh, just a dream," I then thought
as I began to doze back off into slumber.
Dreams seem to have become
my reality.

Everything of You
Dominique Celine Dec 2013
Your porcelain skin reminds me of harsh winters that abrupt from nowhere.
Your deceiving eyes remind me of a blackened room that has no hint of light.
Everything of you has a tendency to
wash away all of the good left in me.
You tend to replace my happiness with lonesome sorrow and
bitter coldness.

Everything I've once known has now evolved into something new.
Something with a dark essence
which reflects only your past actions.
Everything that I thought I had known has now changed.
Thanks to you.

The Cause of Your Words
Dominique Celine Nov 2013
The words "I love you" still linger
in the back of my mind.
The way you constantly
whispered those words in my ear
caused my cheeks to blush
a crimson shade of red.
Caused my lips
to slowly curve into a grin.
Caused my mouth to move
and whisper in return,
"I love you, too."

Infected
Dominique Celine Nov 2013
My heart has gone out,
your virus has come
to infect me inside.
Inject me with a cure,
this poison is slowly
crawling through my veins.

Cure me
to keep me from going
insane.
Chorus from one of my songs! Copyrighted. Enjoy, loves

The Effects of Love
Dominique Celine Nov 2013
What is love?**

Is it the warm feeling you get
in the middle of the night
when you simply imagine his face
illuminating before your eyes,
blinding you to realize what's real
or fake?

Is it the uncontrollable smile you have
when you hear him call your name
as the sound of his gentle voice
carries the name as though it were
fragile as a delicate flower
living through a harsh winter?

Is it the butterflies that flutter in your stomach
as he leads you into
one of those breathtaking hugs
which causes your heart beat
to be off rhythm for just those
everlasting seconds?

Drowning
Dominique Celine Nov 2013
Ten feet
I'm drowning now.
I can't see,
there's nothing but the sound
of your heartbeat.
It no longer comforts me.

We are drowning
slower each second.
Our hands are tied,
there's no one to rely on.
The walls I had built crumbled down.
They couldn't withstand your pain.
The love we had died away
and then we drowned.

Thirty feet
my lungs have yet collapsed.
I held one breath
I have to make it last.
Stop this anchor,
it's pulling down harder.

We are drowning
slower each second.
Our hands are tied,
there's no one to rely on.
The walls I had built crumbled down.
They couldn't withstand your pain.
The love we had died away
and then we drowned.

One hundred feet
I can see now.
You've gone cold,
there's nothing but the sound
of my heartbeat.
I have to set myself free.
You've reached the ground.
The rope has come undone.
I have to swim back up.
I'll find a way
how to cure my pain
to relive once more once again.
These are just a few lyrics of mine, not the complete song I wrote. Enjoy, loves!
