hallucination- a blessing
Dharmista Nov 2014
Needed medical attention
To treat a chronic hallucination.
They said I don't belong here
As I weave worlds unreal.
No, I don't want to...
Hallucination shows me something
What the virtual fails to see.
It's the only chasm
Which makes me forget reality
As I see you alive in my world
While you were long gone.

Naked soul
Dharmista Feb 2015
The strings of his love
Pulled her hard.
She couldn't decide
What was nastier!
The power of his seductive words
Which bared her love.
Or the brutally metaphorical eyes
Which undressed her soul.

A pang
Dharmista Apr 2015
One morning,
she yearned to see him
Again!
As she got out
of her cold sheets,
she heard the wind chimes
****** a familiar tune.
The bells were his last gift to her!

The old letter
Dharmista Feb 2015
Words trickled down
Like fine drops of water.
As she unfolded the crumpled
Coffee-stained lipstick smeared letter.
As fresh as dew drops
Descending on a foggy morning.
As poignant as a message
From a long lost soldier.
They held secrets unknown
And stories untold.
And locked away an old moment
Lost in the ravages of time.
As she cruised through
With shaking hands and
A pounding heart,
She lived the moment.
She lived it once again!
All over again!

My way of telling you
Dharmista Mar 2015
Myth goes:
"Hiccups are a way of telling someone
You are missed!"

Here, she was gulping down
Glasses of water.
Miles away, he was holding
Their picture.

The closed door rebel
Dharmista Oct 2014
The world inflicts wounds
I don't react.
Follows old diktats
While I see them quiet.
Treads the wrong way
And the majority sway.
I don't have a word to say.
Encourages stupidity
Motivates ignorance.
Punishes you for being right.
Rescuing the truth despite.
Still I don't react.
Kills you, destroys you
Stifles your inner voice
Undeserving people taste success
While the intelligentsia demise.
And still I am a dumb witness.
Well.. I am quiet.
But you never knew.
An ongoing fight ensues
Within a chosen few.
We call them writers
We call them lyricists
The misfits and the poets.
Fight is on
As they write along.
Behind closed doors.
The moment you say
'Yea that's true.'
We know its gone through.
Their work they dont sell
They are a closed door rebel.
Swording with the pen.
They fight battles unknown.
Their work don't sell.
They are a closed door rebel.

In sync
Dharmista Dec 2014
Beyond all worlds
Beyond words
I have felt for you.
And now I know
What people mean
By being in sync.
In sync with the heaven.
In sync with the universe.
In sync with you.

A fictional character
Dharmista Mar 2015
Do you even exist
Or you're just
A figment of
My wild imagination.
Like a fictitious character
Straight out of a teenage novel.
Defending the reins
Of an ideal Platonic love.
Oh dear! You breathe!
Yes, you do.
In my utopian world
Of infinite dreams.
Or might I just as well
Call you a wondrous dream?
Whoever you may be,
Had it not been you,
I wouldn't have believed
In magic.
In love.
In this enigma of life.
In my existence.

Dharmista Dec 2014

With his thriving love.
Now she lies in blood
Stabbed by his betraying move.

What wine does to us!
Dharmista Mar 2015
I can write a song or a lullaby
as the words keep juggling,
between my mind and lips.
I can read a book,
soaked in poignant sentiments.
Dance to the tunes
Of a song playing in my head.
I can play Juliet,
or just Ingrid.
Whatever you wish me to be.
I can view myself
In your wet lips.
Melting in your sturdy arms,
Dying the night,
and rising again
much like phoenix.
I can do all that and more,
as long as I have wine.
As long as I know
I am in a different universe.

I am a doodler
Dharmista Oct 2014
In a crowded place
Teeming with heads.
You find me in a corner
Buried in my own thoughts.
You find me weird
Not the one amongst you
Not a word
Do you get from me.
You give me names
You ignore me
While I only stare at the frames.
I am not dumb
I am not a wallflower.
I am just lost
Like the religious in a prayer.
I'm a doodler
Who has no word to express
A ponderer
Whose voice suppresses.
A doodler who vents his anger
On his living images
A thinker who lives and dies
Everyday in his sketches
I'm a doodler
In a world sunk in loudness.
Unheard, unnoticed
I live in my images.

Every house has a story
Dharmista Oct 2014
They look strong
With their concreteness.
Facing every storm
With an undaunted resilience.
They never bow down
Nor do they bend.
They just carry on
Like a tough hand.
The passersby marvel
at its beauty and stand.
Ignorant of all
That goes behind.
Who knows what storm
They fight inside.
Life ticks away
And it spites itself quiet.
It stays strong
Deceiving our eyes.
It hides a story
Behind its tough walls.
Every house is a father.
Who comforts you in its arms.
And like the old man
Leaves you with its rusting walls.
A house isn't a house.
It's a soul you never carry.
And a body that
You can never possibly bury.

The journey of my soul
Dharmista Jul 2015
Word has it:

"You take a re-birth to evolve as a soul.
In this life or the next."

With you, I have traveled back and forth
Along several births.
About evolving?
I am a different person everyday,
with a different skin.
Every cell cries of change,
and every time, I am a new being.

The disappearing voice
Dharmista Oct 2014
The material world
Oh! The dazzling material world.
Entices you to its mould.
The system, the cycle
The money and all its debacle.
The rage and the quiet.
You find all shades in its side.
The material world
Oh! The dangerous material world.
Tall houses, deserted inmates.
Sparkling lights, darkness inside.
Corporate giants, rural roots.
Big cars, fat wives.
you find all shades in its side.
And then, I attempt...
To look for you.
But you disappeared long back.
And now all we hear
Is this raging hell
While the voice of conscience
Sleeps deep in a spell.

a deadly relief
Dharmista Oct 2014
Years back I found you
Like a confused soul.
You walked into my life
Without a warning bell.
We were in sync.
Completely into each other.
Every existence rejoiced.
But.. over the years,
You grew out of me.
And once again, without a bell
You chose to leave.
You saved yourself
But left me to grieve.
A deadly relief!
A deadly relief!

Wish I could read you
Dharmista Mar 2015
Wish I could
read you more often,
kiss away your wounds
and make way
for a catharsis!
For when your eyes
shed those warm tears,
something dies within me too.

a dry heart
Dharmista Jan 2015
She wakes up
To write her feelings
On her diary.
But all she has
Is a blank page.
As pale white as death.
She fell short of words
Even when she fell in love.
Today she has a different story.

nothing to say
Dharmista Oct 2014
Every time I saw you
I faced this eternal question
Will I ever ...?
A herculean task it seemed,
For the bond we had.
Now when I see you,
Turning your back to me.
The only thing I can say...
There's nothing to say!
There's nothing to say!

Let go!
Dharmista Oct 2014
Can you ever let go
Of the one you die for?
Can you ever close the door?
For the fear of the unknown
We seek shelter in our pain.
Once you let someone in
You can hardly be yourself again.

How are you?
Dharmista Oct 2014
He asked me how are you?
I wanted to lay my heart bare
But then I stopped myself
A cold smile only to share.
