Elegy
Deeseaare Jun 2010
I have loved you.
When we fought, I thought
About how your left iris
Had a hint of golden bliss
Swimming in infinite blue,
I loved you.
Now, what can I say?
Bright gold is fading over blue bay
All my words I ****
Biting my tongue until
It bleeds, tastes of salt and still
I loved you.
What should I do?
I can change for you!
(If you want me to)
What was that? I love you too.
I was sold on gold
On what you told
Of summer and freedom and love of old
Ice cream parlors.
Of driving down Ocean Avenue
Listening to periwinkle blue
And sweet honey voices coo “I love you”
Forgetting education, foundation
Disregarding the French he took, saying: look,
I loved you.
Bleeding tongue aside, I cannot hide
How hard I’ve tried
To love you.
Goodbye.

Catharsis
Deeseaare Feb 2010
A stillness foreshadows
Lingering, eerily calm
Then a single, gentle thud
Disrupts the silence.
The leak springs,
Grows into a flood
Water runs over hot skin
Caressing each freckle, each wrinkle.
Eyes closed,
Truly feeling every shiver of
A feather's tracing down my spine.
I seize the warm feeling
Letting the streaming continue,
Greedily succumbing to the water.
My grip loosens upon the umbrella,
A distant "pnk" on the pavement marks its fall.
I am gone, the rain having
Taken me over.

(Im)Patience

I find epics quite exhausting
For while the hero fights for the dead
I find my attention wandering
To a buzzing fly overhead.
