Your blood connections shouldn't define
Those whom you invite for a toast
You can't exactly resign
But, choose those who matter most

Those who you run to for advice
And set no expectations
those whose words don't just suffice
But are found to help in counterfeit situations

Their smile won't be the brightest
Their comfort goes beyond understanding
Always affect in just the slightest
But they never are demanding

Loving me for who and what I am to be
And nowhere near my family tree

Redemption Strikes
Doctors hesitate on lives
One, two, three, four revives
We forget all our dislikes
Flushing out the stars and stripes
Putting down the knives
Throwing away the pipes

Finally admiring life
Living once, dying twice
Throw the dice , show the price
Striving to find a wife
While attached to a breathing device
There's no such thing as eternal life.

A sense of conquer
A feeling of attainment
A fallen anchor
A screech of independence

There is no vulnerability
There is no trance
There is accessibility
There is chance.

We will whine
We will fail
We will draw the line
We will exhale

Racing to meet our fate
Racing to find any rate

— The End —
