Apple
David Rodriguez Nov 2013
Listening to my words but you're living by proverbs
Eating from the tree of knowledge but you haven't even gone to college
Use your eyes to envy me but as you can see
I'm gonna be on top of the NYC im gonna take a bite of that big apple so Adam an eve can see
Keep praying to the man above saying to him you owe it all
But you're still listening to these wicked game poets thinking they know it all
I don't answer to no bell but with my words i'm gonna earn Nobels
Doing what you need to do trying to change your features
Answering to the words spoken by the preachers
What happen to bloods thicker then water
When was the last time you've spoken to your sister or brother

Something more serious
David Rodriguez Nov 2013
Boldly stated mentally prepared
Something that can be broken but never teared

Waiting and wondering for the answer to come along
Maybe it all happened to fast, cupids arrow way too strong

Poetic verses dance around the fast chanting curses
Live and learn that's not in any old textbook it's your life term

Living by proverbs acquiring knowledge from the preachers
You're gonna listen to them not change their words and not listen to your teachers

And it all came along like a musical note playing 1 song
From beginning to end I'll rewrite the rights to my wrongs

Fireworks
David Rodriguez Nov 2013
Have you ever pictures the perfect scene
That's something shared between a King and a queen
Simple grace perfect complexion
Your hair your eyes the way you smile to see it it's worth while it's perfection
And I feel gifted with your beauty that it caught me eyes but I can't tell is it Christmas or the 4th of July
But I don't know what to make of it can I have another hint cold crisp air taste like mint
But how long does it take to realize maybe those other guys were telling you real lies
See i'm the kind of guy that falls for a girl headfirst sometimes it leaves me tired and hurt stop playing around ignite the fame and feel the fireworks

Something simple
David Rodriguez Nov 2013
Devil on my shoulder i'm thinking it's all over tell me you're the witness how often have you seen me sin and ask for forgiveness
Normal kid on the block once used to be everything handed me to me in sets of 3
time flew by but i'm still singing my musical lullaby
Simple people sever ties and break bonds something that was once here tomorrow gone
God running through your veins but i'm here doning fine sipping from my golden cup my red wine waiting for my life to align in Gods perfect design but hates gonna hate lovers are gonna love but i'm just here waiting and preying to the sky above.

New chapter
David Rodriguez Nov 2013
Hold out your hand while you hold mine
Wandering around my head doing laps running through my mind
These simple words can be simply cliche but you and me I wouldn't want to have it any other way
You give me monarch butterflies inside
Beautiful dreams arise when our nightmares coincide
If you need a shoulder to cry on ill be here till I die
Or maybe until you tell an another innocent perfect white lie
17 perfect gentleman look where it's gotten me friends,
Friends and that's all were supposed to be?
This is about us you and me they say love is blind cupids on a shooting spree
The arrow missed you and hit me you wander through me mind aimlessly
The fact that I acknowledge you and you don't acknowledge me
But Keep in mind that i'm a golden opportunity
So let's make that leap of faith like its February there is no comparing you to someone else I know it sounds kinda scary
People always say these simple words are simply cliche did I forget to say no I've never met anyone else like you and I don't want to now later or any other day
Because I fell head over heals for you too
Cause you look so good from your head to your heals too
Sophosicstion class I can tell by how you dress I've never felt like this before maybe it's the feeling of being blessed.
