An acrostic poem that spells: Ouch
Just having some fun  :)
“You’re out of my life

          I’m finally free”

                            I said to her

                                            As I turned to leave

                                                                                           But I was wrong

                                                                               For there you see

                                                        Looking right back at me

                                             Were her eyes, her smile

                                      her thoughts and cries

                              All bundled up inside

                                     I thought I left her

                                             But now I see

                                                       I’ll always see her

                                                               When I see me
Like a piece of tissue stuck on a tape... even when the relationship is over... something always remains...
Just like sunshine
on a cool spring day
Like rain drops falling
during a gentle rain
You light up my life
and bring peace
to my soul
Your love for me
has made me whole

Your soft gentle lips
quiver against mine
Reluctance soon turns
into desire
Our hearts dance in sync
to each others embrace
Like the wind in a field
of fragrant arrays

Like words flowing out
from a beautiful song
And dew dripping down
to a thirsty ground
Your embrace fills my heart
and captures my mind
Releasing the passion
hidden inside

Like the stars in the sky
too many to be counted
And the fish in the sea
number millions and thousands
My love for you is deep
and impossible to describe
Powerful and vast yet
gentle and kind

How much do I love you
if you still don't know
It would take every diamond
in the world
To reflect the sparkle
that is there in your eyes
As we dance together
on a moonlit night

I asked an old woman
as she walked with her mate
To describe if she could
what made their love so great
She lifted her head
and began to describe
All the beauty
he possessed inside
As she turned to leave
she smiled at me and said,

"He makes me feel like sunshine
on a cool, spring day"
Trembling I touch you
passion burning within

Hold me, love me
quench the fire again
A love poem in 15 words or less.
Just to know you are on the way
fills me with joy

I love to see you, feel you
and touch you

I feel so relaxed having you around
you seem to bring peace
to a hurried crowd

You cry with the widow
the fatherless and lonely
their sadness you share
you speak for them only

Your rhythm and song
you play for us all
a concert attended
by one and all

Cleanse the heart the soul and mind
rest me quietly in your lullaby

For tomorrow the sun will shine again
and hurried distraction will be the
order of the day

Quietly you leave
as the earth now rejoices
springing new life to once
barren voices

I wait anxiously to hear
the chance you may reappear but
sun's shining pretty steady

I miss you already
One of my loves is rain... in this piece I describe the many different views of rain as it falls in one place. I hope you enjoy it.
She was so young and without a care
her smile as beautiful as her long brown hair
So many dreams she had envisioned
filled her heart with great ambition

Then one day it all came to an end
this young girl was never seen again
She died one dark and horrible day
her memory is one of deep, dark pain

That day vulnerable and unaware
she didn't understand, she was so scared
"Why are you hurting me?" she cried
they just laughed as she slowly died

No one heard her cries for help
and when she could speak she only whelped
Although in shock and terrible pain
this young girl kept it all in

Years have passed and she was never seen
but sometimes if you are really keen
You can see this girl once again
but she may not be whom you'd expect

You never know but you may be surprised
it could be that she's your wife
Or sister or mother or aunt or dear friend
this list has no end

Although her innocence was taken away
and heartache and shame seemed to take it's place
She still has the strength to fight back for her life
she once was a victim, but never twice
Many girls have been victims of **** and oftentimes it is never reported. They grow up with this secret pain and shame that should never have been put on them... yet they rise another day... refusing to empower those who violated them.... they take back their lives... and win.
"You'll never make it without me
and you'll always be alone"
His words seemed to haunt her
and fear pierced her soul

He thought that he had conquered;
he laughed with no regret
But what he had not realized
was she was wearing Red

She lifted herself up off the ground
and gathered her children close by
With a broken smile and tender touch
she comforted their cry

She dressed herself with Determination
her shoes were Pumps of Faith
Yesterday she wasn't sure
But today make no mistake

Success seems to precede her
and her children call her Blessed
Her strength, my inspiration
her fragrance, Trust in Him

So when you feel it's over
and you think you failed the test
She lovingly smiles at you as she
hands you her Red Dress
I wrote this poem for a friend of mine named Cindy. A victim of polio at the age of 4, she is paralyzed from her hips down. She grew up, fell in love and married. Soon after her children were born he started cheating on her and verbally abusing her and he taunted her... daring her to do something about it. She was devastated...but she wasn't finished. She divorced him and raised her two kids alone, working two jobs and putting her kids through college. She bought a house, a car and still works circles around everyone around her. She's not just a survivor, she's a success.
Your snow, my rain

We meet there

Over and again

The hustle around

Noises and frowns

But we escape

Through the quiet sounds

Of drops of thoughts

Falling all around

Endless and captured

In what we are

And could have been

And wishing you were here

Drowning in that quiet storm

that is you

In that secret place

Where we never part
I wrote this in 2005 and it was published in an Editors Choice series called, "Twilight Musings"  I hope you enjoy it... **
