Doubt
Daniel Santiago Dec 2011
The wind is caught between a scream and a roar;
This whistling perforates my eardrums
like a teapot sitting a atop the fires of Hell.
Eyelids fused shut, that wind's lacerations try
but are just unable to pry
these empty brown eyes
and reveal the truth of the lies.
So I fall right through the clouds
with no turbulence on this descent,
and as Earth's elements charge my accelerated pace
I ready the barrel in my mind I've prepared to face.
The shot breaks life's hold on me beyond a trace,
and my eyes are finally open, witness my disgrace.
As water fills my lungs,
I can only hope this ship will sink.
I can't help but descend and think
I've erred as I near the brink
of the ever distant horizon.

It is true, I won't know what hit me
when these silent notes come singing.
With a flash so bright you'll see darkness
and a tune so loud you will go deaf,
this melodic mass will paralyze me upon impact.
This was the promise of the silence.
Thunderous silence, silence,
accompany the unpleasant.
Quietly, silently
lie to me.

Plague
Daniel Santiago Dec 2011
And if it weren't for the fire inside I'd be prepared to die; nickle and dime me until the plague within me eats me alive. Though I see the end of the infected tunnel, it acts as the horizon that can never be reached. With the love of my own I stand in shame as my love would readily stay with a man that wouldn't insult half the country's population whilst I would nuke the entire world just to make sure she was never judged again. And I'll ship her to safety and die in the fallout to show her what real sacrifice is. And as my flesh melts and muscles crisp and my bones blacken, I'll wish you happiness because I never cherished myself. The world revolved around you and I now know that the sun could never dream to take away your shine. So hear my plea, stay with me until the mushroom clouds invade our dreams of a pleasant sky and rip the world at its seams.

Parasite
Daniel Santiago Dec 2011
We are never alone, always accompanied by awkward silence. I'm destined to feel the pain I've caused and the pain you feel so between these pains when can I take the medicine to numb this raging aching? Fetal position, stuck in remission, longing for the gentle touch of someone that gives a... ****, spiraling in and out of control, when will I get a hold of this life I lead down the haunting path of success and being hated. My love is worthless if you don't want it. ******* clad bodies of morbid wishes, classy a thing of the past, bringing a future to the present where I just can't feel whatever it is that's keeping me here. I wake up in a daze. There are no good mornings because no one is there to wish me one. Nights are empty. If it wasn't for the temporary coma, I'd be alone ninety percent of the time. And still, I've retained my lack luster shine. So tuck me in to a steady dream and remind me of the things that made the sun rise at the sunrise.

It was love, so we thought
Daniel Santiago Dec 2011
The twirls of memories sing songs of vague attraction.
I can clearly remember the haze that blankets the memory
Of me gazing into your kindest of eyes.
Was it then that started the intense satisfaction?
Were we frostbitten to the flames between us?
Let me peer passed the glass which frames your face
For these words will bring an unexpected reaction
And I wish to see it all unfold first hand.
With a kiss that raises tides, we bring stars to Earth.
We'll stare in awe at the stories immortalized in the night sky.
If I am so lucky, we'll bring ourselves into Infinity's loop
And hum the sweet tunes of bliss.

The Prickly New
Daniel Santiago Dec 2011
Oh, I'm of the sickly few. Nothing can ever, possibly just be good and my sunsets are promptly punctuated with exponentially exhausting explosions. The dawns are massive mushroom clouds thunderously silent, seeping over my twinkling twilight sky.
Oh, I'm of the sickly few. Danger lustfully lurks around every cold corner where a ghastly ghost of Christmas past ominously awaits my doubtful dreaded return. I can't confine cursed fears into the cold corner closet.
Oh, I'm of the sickly few, and that's going to change.

Cut ties, new knots
Daniel Santiago Dec 2011
Darling, dear, beauty of mine
Doubt not the words I say to you
Each pulse pleads for them to shine
And for you to recognize it is true.

I indubitably implore you to see
The value of your toes to your hair
And out of greed, I'll hoard you for me
It's such a great treasure, a woman so fair.

Punctuated are the chapters of the past
So recant our first night's passion so I may write
A far better tale of true love that may last
Guided by three shimmers in the night sky light.

Seal This Void
Daniel Santiago Dec 2011
Time and space know no bounds.
I float passively through the black,
sightless and without sounds.

Shimmers and twinkles dot the night.
Waiting patiently for love's arrival,
I'll know for it will feel complete, right.

As Mars passed me by,
in all that silent darkness,
I saw your green eye.

Time and space knew no bounds.
We danced, frozen through the black,
sightless and without sounds.

For me, for you, this must be true.
To live, to die, to dance, to cry,
for me, for you, I'll say...
