Toothless I gnash, and faultless I fail
I'm searching and yearning,
I'm a ship with no sail,
One day I'll find the island I seek,
or a mountain with answers,
on it's shrouded peak.

For eighteen days, several years ago
Mountains, snow, temples and streets
You were my guide
For the beauty of Nepal
Crowded markets, salesmen and soldiers
Villages, rivers, forests and cliffs
I was entranced by your country
The vibrant culture, so alien to my own
We wished each other farewell,
we will meet again one day friend
I left, returning to my first world life
You moved to Spain, found love, found happiness
Thought life had other plans, and cancer struck you down
Never again will your smile charm a tourist
I didn't say farewell
But we will meet again one day
Of that I'm sure

for my friend Saroj, thank you for the amazing experience in Nepal
Rest in peace

I miss the magic,
Of new romance,
Blossoming,
A feeling of electricity,
Beyond the point of words,
Chemistry immeasurable,
The crippling happiness,
Exhilarating fear,
A riot of feelings,
Heart stampeding,
Mind enveloped,
Stomach twisted,
Eyes entranced,
Completely, utterly, spellbound,
Oh, how I miss the magic
