The stars watch my departure.
Waving goodbyes as I
Drift away.
My bearings obliterated.
I am greeted with insanity.
It sets in quickly,
But the after taste…
It is sweet.
Pin ****** of light dot my conscious.
I can feel the memories,
They are heavy.
Pulling me downward.
But all I really need
Is to
Float away.

I walk in on the starting scene,
A grassy meadow, of lush green.
A beautiful woman hugging a man,
I’m guessing this is how it all began.

In his arms, she gives a kiss and a hug,
Then they both take a wonderful drug.
The screen erupts in a splash of color.
I watch as they grow shorter then taller.

Trees of every color start to grow,
On this lush green plateau.
Growing leaves they start to dance,
Putting the audience in a trance.

Drifting away, with this pair
A burst of light, a solar flare.
Floating, soaring away,
Into this magical place, this color display…

Piercing though the crystal clear,
Waters edge, so bright and sheer.
Wayward glances, to bright to look.
What’s written in the book
Past present, what have you.
Burning, short, then born anew.
So I again start to peer,
In the book, or ocean, both are clear.
The bright, wondrous things, I see
Are in every sense of the word, good enough for me.

As the clock ticks I count the grains,
Till I will be with you once more,
I count the grains,
Till my love can fall,
From my fair hands,
Unto your open heart.
And so I sit on the floor
Watching the clock.
Watching as it ticks away

Returning to the earth were we laid as a child.
Feeling our heart beats in the sand and in the dirt,
And in ourselves.
The land is our own, and we it’s children.
I feel the place were I once lived,
It is burnt to the ground,
Dust.
I collect it in handfuls.
Trying to rebuild it into something it wasn’t.
