we stare inwardly, fragile
under the fragile moon,
your eyes like glass.
I'll heave another sigh
and I'll go home in one piece,
leaving you solitary
                                 again.

Please
Turn Left.
Take a U-Turn,
Legal or Illegal
I do not care;
I don't mind
that you
will not arrive
at your final
destination

Please
Where possible
Where pleasing
Where pitiful
Where painful
Where pained
Turn left
And please
Please please please
Leave me

She  was spring once.
A spring in her step
As she stepped into
A crisp, fresh, innocent
Morning filled with
Innocence and lambs.

She was summer once.
A bead of sweat rolling
Slowly slowly down my back
A true heatwave of character
Running true and free
Through sunkissed grass.

She was autumn once.
A favourite sweater
That makes its appearance
With crispy leaves
Biting wind with the
Thought of going back to school
Though school was long ago.

She was winter once.
The clarity of a frozen lake
The charcoal smile of a snowman
With no leaves and early nights
By an open fire
F f f freezing.

She was
But forever, she is.

Place both of your hands
Onto my arm
Coil them

Twist and leave that piercing
Scarlet
Red red red mark

Laugh, push, tumble me
Up the stairs or tangled up in
My own shoelaces

My face hits the ground
Always last
Can't help crying

Teased because I am small
Hair's pulled, mum would
Never find out

You hear me?
N n n n never
