A girl and her Daddy
Run and play
Not a worry in the world
About the next day.

A girl and her Daddy
Are sitting in a boat Daddy
To catch a fish
Is their hope.

A girl and her Daddy
Playing in the floor
Daddy is tired
But she wants more.

A girl and her Daddy
Fuss at times
She wants to go out
He says, "it's not time."

A girl and her Daddy
Talk about life
How fun it can be
And how hard at times.

A girl and her Daddy
Dance to their song
They celebrate a love
That is life long.

A girl and her Daddy
Say Goodbye
They know it's not forever
But still they cry.

A girl and her Daddy
Write letters back and forth
One from the south
One from up north.

A girl misses her Daddy
And wants to hug his neck
But knows she'll have to wait
Until the next trek.

But,
A girl and her Daddy
Will never fall apart
Because a girl and her Daddy
Are in each others hearts.

A little red fire truck
Given to a boy
Who knew that little fire truck
Would bring so much joy?

He plays and pretends
To be putting out flames
All the kids on the street
Want to know his name

He loves his little fire truck
He hates to put it away
But mother says he has to
Tommorow is another day

A little red fire truck
Sits untouched
Over the years
It's collected some dust

The boy now is grown
Going through some old stuff
And at the bottom of a old box
He finds a small truck

He remembers the fun he had
Playing in the floor
And can't recall the last time
He wanted anything more

He sits for a moment
Replaying all the memories
And smiling to himself says
",You know, life's about the little things".

The stars are out this morning and what glory they proclaim of Jesus Christ our savior. So much peace in that name.

There's a chill in the air I hear leaves blowing around and just like the stars there is praise with every little sound.

The stars will soon hide and the sun will shine, but forever the earth will praise Him until the end of time.

I sit here thinking of time that has passed things that have changed and the friends I have had.

Some friendships lasted many memories were made some only faded though I wish they had stayed.

You find out what friendship means to some is it reasured in their heart or does it set with the sun?

true friends love you no matter your circumstance they are always there no matter their plans.

I've learned so much throughout the years how some friendships last and some only bring tears.

but I have a true friend I know I do because I know no matter where I go ill always have you.

I was reminded today how quickly things can change
One day there is sunshine and then came the rain

The sunshine was nice, beautiful and warm
But with the morning came a dark, wet, cold storm

I thought of how in life it's often the same joy in one season
And in some seasons pain

But as I thought of the sun but gazed at the storm
I thought it was just as beautiful as the warm day before

The cold hurt a little and I had to layer up but the view before me hadn't changed that much

In life it's the same, storms bring cold air
We have to layer up not with clothes but with prayer

No matter the season life is beautiful still
No matter the hurt or pain we might feel

We should always lean on Jesus he is our shelter from the storm
And remember his love for us will always keep up warm

So when clouds roll in and you find yourself in fear
Layer up and know that HE is near.

Written after spending a weekend at my in laws cabin in Colorado. Saturday was beautiful sunny and warm all day. And Sunday morning came and it was very cold and snowed/rained all day! Both days were BEAUTIFUL! :)

These are a few
of my favorite things
My hair in the wind
Being pushed in a swing

A warm cozy blanket
on a snow covered night
Leaning over to give
kisses goodnight

A letter in the mail
from someone I love
A gentle touch
Or a great big hug

A song that is heard
At just the right time
A memory held dear
Deep in my mind

The words "I love you"
When life seems rough
Looking in their eyes
And knowing that's enough.

The little things matter
so much to me
They give me such joy
And make my heart sing

I'll cherish these things
Always and forever
For when I am feeling down
The little things I'll remember.

I often think of the places I've stayed
The reasons I was there
And the memories that were made.

I remember mi mi s house,
I visited every week
And though it smelled of smoke
I never wanted to leave.

I remember the movies we watched
All the time
I remember the joy
That filled her heart and mine.

I also recall other memories
Made in a house just off college street.

In the summer we would go
And try to beat the heat
Nanny always had ice cream
And good watermelon to eat.

In these houses I learned so much
Just watching my grandmothers
As I grew up.

We laughed we played,
We watched TV
And sometimes we were just
Plain silly.

Oh how I wish to these places
I could go
If I could just see their faces and just say hello.

A boy sits alone
Waiting for a friend
Someone he can play with
Someone to hold his hand.

A girl in the hall
Rushes to get to class
But no one notices
As she pushes past.

A man stands
All alone on the street
Hoping someone will come along
And give him food to eat.

A woman sits on her bed
Aging each day
Wondering why her children
Are so far away.

There are so many lives
That are left untouched
Because we think what we
are doing is "good enough".

It's time we reach out
To the people in need
It's time that we became
His hands and feet.

Jesus called us to love
The broken and afraid
So what will your choice be?
Will you love or walk away?
