You left my life
as quickly as you came into it.
Fell out of the sky,
and into my lap,
quite literally!
Never before have I
wanted time to stand still,
as much as I did then.
And as the doors slid shut
and you glided away into non-existence,
I sorely wish I'd gotten your number.
Conor Wilson Oct 2012
Behind this screen I hide,
Probing you with questions.
I await your answers gleefully.
Waiting for you to reveal,
Another facet of your seemingly perfect being.

Yet I have never truly spoken to you.
Conor Wilson Jan 2013
I've realised,
I was wrong.
There was more ,
to what I've been looking for this whole time.
I don't need passion.
I need love.
I need
you

The mirror is fixed,
But the cracks are still visible.
It's obvious we won't
Be the same as before.
They say that breaking a mirror
Brings seven years bad luck.
I really hope that isn't true.
Conor Wilson Nov 2012
I was so sure,
But now I'm confused.
I thought I knew what I wanted,
But then you came and ruined my plans.
And I wouldn't have it any other way.
Conor Wilson Dec 2012
Faced with the fear of death,
Permanent extinction.
I know its preposterous,
But the mind wanders.
I risk a glance
Over my shoulder,
Seeing every mistake,
All the terrible things I've done.
But I also see the good things,
The tiny, shining moments of joy,
That make everything worth it.
If I were to die now,
I'm glad that I can say
I have no regrets.
Conor Wilson Feb 2013
Happy paintings and
Smiling faces
Cover up the stench of death
Conor Wilson Nov 2012
I'm not sure anymore.
You seem perfect for me.
But then again,
So does everyone else.
Am I in love with you?
or have I been alone for too long?
Conor Wilson Oct 2012
I'm falling down a pit of dispair
All I hope is that I hit the bottom soon
Conor Wilson Jan 2013
Because now I'm confused.
Are these subtle hints?
or works of fiction;
created by my own mind,
to fool myself into thinking
I'd ever have a chance with you?
Conor Wilson Nov 2012
A casual encounter
Inside my head.
You took my hand,
And led me to
The most amazing places.
But as I turned to look at you,
I found I couldn't see your face.
I guess this is proof;
I don't love you.
I just love the idea of you.
Conor Wilson Nov 2012
I'd love to say **** it,
Drop everything and run away with you.
Run from the evil people and their hateful words.
We could go to our own sanctuary,
Safe from the world outside.
But alas, I am trapped here.
I need you,
Save me.
Conor Wilson Nov 2012
I'm absolutely terrified.
Theres no way it could work.
But that reality won't stop,
My heart from melting whenever I see you.
I'm falling for you.
Conor Wilson Nov 2012
I want to know you
Not the you on the outside
the real you
I want to explore
every crevice of your personality
I want to share your hopes and dreams
And take on your fears and anxieties
Because you are truly fascinating.

It's over.
You could say that it was doomed from the start.
We both saw it,
We chose to ignore it,
And now we pay the price.

Our castle was built on sand.
I saw the cracks forming long before it collapsed.
Amidst the confusion we were separated.
And now we are lost,
Never to meet again.
Conor Wilson Feb 2013
Break the mould
Release the chains
**** the system
Escape the cage
Conor Wilson Nov 2012
I've been here before,
This place of hurt and suffering
Because you don't love me back,
And I won't be the same.

I've changed myself,
To accommodate you.
But you changed as well,
In the opposite direction.

I guess I'll have to move on.
There's nothing here for me here.
Thanks for the memories,
I'll remember you always.
Conor Wilson Nov 2012
Grey is this town,
A never ending spiral of hate and violence.
Depression is contagious here.
Why haven't we been quarantined.
Conor Wilson May 2013
I am a Cubic Zirconia.
On the outside, seemingly polished and sparkling.
But beneath the surface, flawed and jaded.
You saw me, thought me a Diamond in the rough.
You thought you could fix me.
I thought you could too.
We were both wrong.
And now here I am, worse than before,
And missing you terribly.
Conor Wilson Oct 2012
I hate this
I hate having to slap on a fake smile and pretend
I wish I could show you the real me, the me that hides behind this Halloween mask.
But nobody wants to be depressed
I'd **** the happiness out of you with a straw
I can't do that to you
I can't ruin you like the others
Conor Wilson Nov 2012
I feel like giving up,
Throwing in the towel,
And calling it a day.
The fight has left me
Battered and broken.
I'm not sure I can take this anymore,
Because I'm fighting myself.
Conor Wilson Oct 2012
I know I'm a ****
I know I stutter and stumble
I know I **** up, a lot
I know I take it too far
Forgive me
I'm not good at improvising
Conor Wilson Nov 2012
I don't know you,
but I want to.

I've never spoken to you,
but I want to.

I can't hug you,
but I want to.

I can't hold your hand,
but I want to.

I can't kiss you,
but I want to.

I don't love you,
*but I want to.
Conor Wilson Jan 2013
I give so much,
yet get barely anything in return.

The humble fisherman,
Trying to make a living.
The trawlers haul in their nets.
The seagulls take whatever is left.
But alas he waits, rod in hand,
For that one small bite that makes it all worthwhile.
Conor Wilson Nov 2012
My hands are sweating,
Marking the keys as I type.
This could be the beginning of a new chapter,
Or the end of the story.
My heart skips a beat as I press send,
And hope for the best.
Conor Wilson Nov 2012
I met a ******* the bus.
Well, I say met,
If your definition of met,
Is stared at creepily.
An hour of daydreaming,
An hour of imagining,
Your voice,
Your scent,
Your personality.
An hour of pure bliss,
And you were gone.
You will be missed.
It pains me to know I'll never get to know you.

Through heartbreak, pain and sorrow,
You are there to pull me out the other side.
You know me,
You understand me,
You care.
It helps to know that in this world of liars and *******,
There's at least one person who gives a ****.

I think that this is it.
I'm on my way to who I want to be.
I've gotten used to the darkness.
Befriended it, almost.
It's going to be around for a little while longer.
For the first time in ages,
There's a light at the end of the tunnel.
Conor Wilson Oct 2012
Lots of people complain about being a third wheel
I somehow seem to end up as the fifth

It's not too bad being a third
Things like tricycles and Reliant Robins justify it

But I've never heard of anything with five wheels
Conor Wilson Nov 2012
I had a dream once,
That I stole you away.
Left the others behind,
and took you to a place
that you'd never been before.
We'd watch the sun go down.
And we would fall,
both in love and asleep,
in each other's arms.
Conor Wilson Nov 2012
I'm sorry if you felt I didn't care,
If you thought I dismissed it entirely.
The truth is I didn't know how to respond.
Conor Wilson Dec 2012
Dancing in the streetlight.
You take my hand,
And pull yourself to me.

Enveloped in the night,
Together we stand,
Beside the crashing sea.

The spark ignites.
This wasn't planned.
Under the influence of Bunter's Tea.
Conor Wilson Feb 2013
I'm happy for you,
But I can't say I'm not envious.
I want to feel what you're feeling;
that rush of emotions
so fast you can't identify just one
happiness, excitemnt, anxiety and fear
all blurred together into an indescribable shape
I'd give anything for what you have
Conor Wilson Oct 2012
It's a ***** job
But I guess someone has to do it
If you've stood in a particularly large dog **** on your walk home,
I don't mind taking care of it
It's what I'm here for
But where can a doormat wipe its feet?
