it's like for a few hours no one is living
not dead, just living in the now.
troubles have been left home
like the wives, kids and parents of most.
Young pretty mouthwatering females everywhere.
Truly women will be the end of men
everyone is looking and searching for that perfect one.
but who finds love in this worldly place.
No,l take it back
l found love is this worldy place
and the only thing stiff is not my neck.
everyone see's her,l can see the hunger in their eyes
l did not know her name
but l decided to call her Friday
for her body is down the week
and her legs are like a smooth stick.
l wish you could have seen her yourself
for beauty is in the eye of the beholder
but l feel like l have the eyes of the earth on my shoulder.
if tonight l do not dream of my flawless empress
something must be wrong.
for she is not a muse for a rhyme
but for a song.
her whole body shakes when she walks like she is playing ping-pong.
and every time l steal a glance my heart skips a gong.

l try to look for the last time at my bottle shaped Delilah
but she catches me looking
and with one wink
my heart beats like a song by metro booming

What would be
If l had not wasted all my time on me
Time is money but you gave yours for free
We were once a baobab tree
But now we are just a cut down brunch
Can we talk about it, can l take you to lunch
Your love was bitter sweet like a lemonade punch.

Now you call and tell me about him
I pretend not to care
How long will l sit back and stare.
If l had a time machine l would change nothing
Because it seems he makes you happier
Your happiness is all l ever wanted
I just took it for granted.

I called you on your birthday talking about all the good times we had
Thinking it would bring you happy memories but it only made you mad
How come he gets to facetime you
All your cousins comment about how cute he is.
I asked you if you love him
And you said you would learn to overtime
Does love have a syllabus now
If it did only l can get an A+
For you l would never bunk a class.

He might have all the money to take you to fancy restaurants
He can buy you a plane for all l care
But love is not expensive or extensive
Only pure, true and plain.
You tell me about how he spent the night at your house
And how all his kisses are like mint dollar bills
About how he never drinks or takes any pills
But l know you enjoyed our cheap thrills
I was Romeo and you were juliet but our love never killed

I never got drunk for the fun of it
But l had to take all that for you
It's no excuse l know
But l am no confident guy as you know
Without the pills and potions l can never show my emotions.
I still dream of your smiles when l carried you around
Like a little kid
And when l used to buy you chocolates and flowers
Instead of the fillet minourn
And the rest l cant even pronounce.

Maybe you enjoy all that l don't know
But just know l am here now and forever more
I know this sounds cheesy
But writing my emotions is easy.
