I never deliberately chose a subject when I started writing poetry, but subconsciously all of my initial poems involved dreaming of some kind. I find this is because in a dream anything can happen and thus it is a free flowing channel for the imagination. Dreams are fundamental to our lives - all our aspirations and thoughts and regrets... are dreams. I'm interested to see if anyone has taken a similar path - rather than boring love ones :P
