Forever Hers
Clyde Barrow Nov 2015
She says "Come, be with me " I have no choice but to obey...
A slave to her call, next to her I stay.  From the first, She knew the hooks had landed, to set the hooks deep she laughed.
"I am near, always." I answer without a word. The wavelength we ride is ours alone.
The flames of our fierceness forever burn. The pyre high, aiming like a spire.
Lovebirds, we were once called. With no chagrin, we carried on.
"If they only knew" she whispers. With a grace unmatched, a single smile was all she flashed.
Held captive in the cage that is her gaze, paralyzed by the toxin that is her touch.

Twelve days
Clyde Barrow Nov 2015
Twelve days. I have been on this roll.
Spun like a top, I cant seem to stop.
With every twist of my wrist and a flick of the Bic, clouds billow in, tension follows out.
My head is at ease. The noise has ceased.
Twelve days. The shadow people wave, like I am old friend.
Backwards am I. For I dont get amped off the high.
Clean a room? Ha! I'd rather stare at the sky. Wave goodbye to the ADHD, see ya when I run out, whenever that may be. Twelve days.

The magic she holds...
Clyde Barrow Nov 2015
What sorcery do you hold.. Is what I seek to find.  How do these enchantments work that have left me bound.
Locked in place, in the warmth of your embrace
In a trance like state, I succumb. Fall to knees that are weak, all senses numb.
On which page of your spellbook can it be found.

A Zombie in the mist
Clyde Barrow Nov 2015
Help me? Take my hand... Lead me away from the danger that is myself?
Can I ask that of anyone? Or am I on my own?
Standing, swaying this way and that, a hunger awakens from unholy places...
A bloodlust grin cracks the face. Have you seen me? A Zombie in the mist...
Cast aside with rage and hate, My head they hunt, their souls I ate. My presence treated like a disease, my name is like a plague.
Condemned to the outskirts, outside looking in, once again. Have you seen me? A Zombie in the mist.

My Apology, Not a poem
Clyde Barrow Nov 2015
I can not return to you the joy I once stole. No box, wrapped with even the biggest of bows will ever replace the moments that this fool went and damaged.
I can not get you back, the one I once knew.
The part of you that I love so much, took for granted and threw in the dust. With careless actions of selfish satisfactions.
Forgiveness is what you offered in exchange for my theft.
Own your mistakes thats what you say.
Here I am. Paying in full to own those mistakes. The bill is past due, I know that to be true, so with these words the whole world now can see. This is my mountain top, on which I can scream: I am sorry for the ways I mistreated the woman of my dreams.

Everywhere I go, There I am.
No escape from the Abyss within.
So long I've roamed, existing.
In my own world, chasing shadows of ghosts long passed.
Clenched in the grip of a beast named Addiction.
Forged in armor of fellowship, The Beast has submitted. Trapped in *******, for it is immortal.
Sixty-seven days the battle has raged.

— The End —
