I woke a Ghost
Clancey Dec 2014
In fingers and toes
The feeling is gone                                  Lost it all in the night                                                              While waking up ghosts

Hugging the sheets till the dawn.         Alone in my bed.                                  Nothing I do
    Can make you not dead

Leap
Clancey Aug 2014
I can't find
A place to lay my head
So I'll be on the go
Until the day that I am dead
                Back and forth
      Never up but always down
         I'm just trying to forget
     That unworn wedding gown

                 If it takes two
             To never feel alone
         Tell me why'd our house
Never feel much like a home
                 It's all my fault
       That things all headed south
But, how can that be true
When you've been kissing other mouths

I've got a lot to say
But you don't seem to care
Said you're trying to move forward
And don't wanna see me there
                 How can you say
            Things that cut so deep
If that's really how you're feeling
I guess it's time I take that leap

Out of sight
Clancey Jul 2014
If it's true the words they say
Then someone take my eyes
               If out of sight
Really does mean out of mind

Telephone
Clancey Jul 2014
Call me on the telephone
And I'll answer to nothing but the tone
Or is that the sound of your insides
Or can I hear the ocean in my mind

Now I'm all out of days full of dreaming
And all I've got is this cuckoo clock that doesn't sing
Can I wait until I'm sure you're not coming
Should have known it's me who's not worth loving.
Clancey Jul 2014
You told me you were leaving and I hope that you can find your way.
I'm not the kind for chasing, I'm never heading out that way.
If you keep moving far and farther I guess you never needed me.
Now I'm sinking like a ship while you make your way across the sea.

If you think I'm thinking about you, I'm thinking you should again.
You know that kind of thinking is the kind I think will do you in.
