To See The Sea
I’d like to be
Somewhere in the sea
Where my life and wife can be
Alone in the sea
Is where we will be
My bride and my pride, you see

A Love, Beware
To love and live
Be it the same
Though in certain proportions
One heart can remain
Alone in the dark
With subtle remarks
To a love so lovers beware

Time
Once upon a time
Sleep was an escape for me
But as you know
Time wears on
Now sleep is avoiding me

At first, I was a happy man
Who smiled at all he sees
But as you know
Life goes on
Now heartache is my company

I could live the lives of a thousand men
Traveling endlessly
But as you know
It takes a moment
To salvage sanctuary

So once upon a time
When time wasn’t a thought
But ah, you see
Time is that
That keeps you away from me

Too Soon
To live a life that I never known
Is to love a woman who never shown
I saw her once at the dusk of summer
To fall and spring at the end of winter
With summer returning and hopes raising
To see her again would be surprising
I stayed up late nights to see if she'd come
To no avail my hopes had run
To my great enjoyment I spoke too soon
I'll call you early to make plans for noon.

Your Letters
Your heart so fragile

Your eyes so delicate as morning wind

I woke to find you

Reading by candle light

The way you found me

It's as though we’ve been searching all our lives

And I know there was so much more to be given

But I left you alone that night

That was when I found myself someone better

All the promising I would never become my father

I wish I would’ve treated you better

So on my mantle I wouldn’t be displaying your letters

Linger Ever After
Come freely darkened shadow

Come along with the wind

Set your sights on the horizon

And I will mend your broken wing

Come along enjoy the weather

Feel the breeze throughout your hair

Mark December for your departure

And I will linger ever after

Come as you are I don’t care if you’re near or far

Come as you please I know you are all I need

Believe what you see

We’re in a ******* hole

No way to be certain

No need to grow old

But I’ve been one to notice

That the present is like the past

And all our dreams are in focus

But we can’t seem to make them last

So I’ll awake from my slumber

I will update my calendar

I will see that it’s December

And I will linger ever after

Rest Alone
There is a light

At the end of a tunnel

When our hearts cease to beat

It’s the feeling you get

When you’re all alone

And a lovers eyes you meet

It’s a long endless journey

With no sense of time

It’s the warmth of a soul

That will help and get you by

Have the angels found you

Alone with an empty heart

Will you make it to heaven

Or were you doomed from the start

Will I find you in the afterlife

Waiting at the gates

Or will I find myself abandoned

Oh, where will we meet

There’s a light

At the end of a tunnel

It’s calling out to me

I’ve felt this before

When my heart skipped a beat

It’s a long endless journey

With no sense of time

It’s the warmth of a soul

That helps to get you by

Have the angels found me yet

Alone in my bed

I will make it to the heavens

A quiet and peaceful end

I will find you at the gates

I will see your vibrant smile

I will rest in peace but I’ll never be alone

May I rest in peace but never rest alone

Come Spirit
Come along spirit
Follow the being into the light
The sun will cascade around us

Come my love
Come freely into the unknown
The wilderness is as wild as hearts astray

Who are you
What has come between us
The lonely stares become conversation

The worrying persists
The memories remain
And I am to repeat this nightmare

Closed Eyes
All through the night
My dreams recite
A life I planned for thee
Where our children would play
And at night they pray
To grow up and love like we
But as the sun does rise
I come to realize
That I was in a dream
So I wait for the day
Where I can finally stay
In a world with closed eyes

Lost In Love
If tomorrow brings the shimmering light from far across the sea
Forget the land you stand upon and let your soul fly free
If today is all we have, we shall keep it all that way
For nothing is what it seems, unfortunate the truth may be
Bring today what we’ve waited for
The signs from up above
Let loose the devils hand
For all is lost in love

My Mary
As I sit and ponder the wonderful wonders from weak and weary to strong and blunder
I must admit these thoughts of mine are nothing manifested from deep inside
Weak and weary said my Mary these thoughts that creep inside
If nothing else upon this shelf is a place for you and I
The waves crash in and cleanse my sins from the night we left behind
And if all I see is all the sea then this is life to me
As I sit and stare at the people who glare from across the street, you see
I must admit that the thoughts I bare are worth those evil stares.

Oh Mother
Speak softly for they are listening
If heard, they will know the secretes
They will pillage and tear our streets
Strike fear in the hearts of children
Swim in the smoke that hovers above
Look down and feast
Hurry mother, come quick
Open my eyes from this nightmare
Let me see the sunflowers again

Travel the mind in search for truth
Know fully this is of our own doing
We have spread the words they heard
They are aware of the secretes
We pillaged and torn our streets
Stroke fear in the hearts of children
Passed through the clouds above
And looked down upon our followers
Oh mother, stay away
Let me reside in the horror
The plants cease to grow, life eternal

The Moon
Rest upon the crescent moon
Dream amongst the stars
Travel through the milky way
Vacation next to Mars
Sing the song of our mother
Be gentile as you play
Leave this land as you found it
We are not here to stay

Create a world inhabitable
Where inhibitions aren’t
If nothing lasts forever
We were all doomed from the start

Joke
Beyond self doubt unimaginable
Is a place for you and I
Where our children play in fields of grass
And gaze upon nights sky

Simple complexities, be it as it may
Are far from truths seen day to day

If nothing lasts forever
And this is just a joke
Hold on to the words I say
Every word I spoke

Some love is wasted from the flame
But not all fires need to be fought
If we fear time is being wasted
Why give it everything we got

Sing the songs of freedom
Hum them if you please
Simple times were easy
That’s why they had to leave

Amen
Satisfy yourself with the edge of a blade
Shear the lines comparable to maps
Hold the strengths of a mother-bearing child
The beautiful lotus on a Saturday
Be wary of the shadows
They follow as you lead
Sometimes under moonlit skies
We follow living free
Shiver as the night wears on
Be comfortable with me
Living is a waste of time
So waste away with me
Lonely souls bare lonely eyes
From singularity to lullabies
Each passing day the heart goes on
Leaving ribbons from where it lay
In December cold I will remember
This truth from yesterday
Give us strength for we are weak
We are begging on our knees
And this I will pray to you
So hear us if you please
Give to us our daily bread
For we are aching with starvation
And if our wounds should cease to heal
Let our scars be all they see
This troubled life is troubling
If not for you than me
I have said the words of a thousand men
All is lost
Amen

We
We
We gaze at the transcendental in disgust for our inspiration is weary.
We feast upon the weak in attempt to gain egotism.
We discourage and destroy beautiful flowers in the hopes to protect the sun from wasting it’s warmth on the worthless.
We then gasp for air and question why we struggle for every breath.
We are naïve, for naivety is in cahoots with arrogance
We have no excuse for no excuse will suffice.
We are granted our last words and we say “We are human” for there is nothing else that needed to be said.
We are our greatest enemy.

The Sun
Are we not the illustrious men we perceive ourselves to be?
Are we not seen as highly as we see ourselves?
Is love what has been blinding us for all these years?
Has the longing for love brought lust into our eyes to cheat ourselves of our true intentions?
Were our intentions of love in the first?
Was it not lust?
Could it be true, there is no such thing as love?
That what it was we felt was; in fact, lust.
The longing for such, emotion be equaled.
I cannot allow this my love.
The thoughts you bare are not in the same of mine.
They belong entire to one other.
I am not illustrious.
Nor do I see myself in any other light than one bared from the sun.
Love does not blind us.
It does not cheat nor steal.
Emotion ‘twas equaled.
Not between us; no, but to her.
The sun.

Heartache
My life and my bride
Together they hide
In a place far away from me
Where our children can play
And at night they pray
To hear the sounds of sea

But all through the night
My dreams are my frights
That never leave me be
Cause the wind does blow
And that’s when I know
They will never come to me

So I follow the shore
In hopes to see
A ship upon the sea
With my life and my bride
Together at last
But yet another night past

— The End —
