Hollowed out, unsure of self
the void that still remains
no light shines here
my shadow gone
a dismal sense of self
a ledge to stand,a lengthy fall
knees tremble,breath still
I cling

A jutting rock,dare to climb
limb extended,..muscles strain
a foothold here,a slender rim
air around me slightly stirs
breath returns,..weariness fades
a glimmer in the dark

ascend i try
with hope set in
my being less like lead
flicker intensifies,..approaching now
i climb with ease
hand and foot set solidly in

hand out to grab
warmth felt in my hand
rock slip,boulder crumble
.....I Fall.

A twist of fate

The light shines through

Wondering in this unfamiliar land

I scan my surroundings

Vibrant with color and life

Thoughts and hopes once so far

Now within my reach

These moments forever suspended in time

A freeze frame image of all I’ve ever wanted

No longer held by doubt

I walk this land once only a child’s dream

No longer breathless in a sea of stress

I conquer the trials set before

The world’s weight lifted from Atlas’s shoulders

I tread with ease

The flowing water of uncertainty now crystal clear in my mind’s eye

This circulating warmth one blocked by dismays icy grip

The new days light glowing brighter with each routines cycle

Eyes focused on the horizon ahead

Alone I do not trek

Side by side with others we travel

A feeling of inner harmony sounds

Each providing their own tone and rhythm

Underscored by this place

Combined into a rich melody

These elements resonate echoing from wall to wall

Spreading like a crimson wildfire

Others are called to join in on the journey

All leaving gloom behind, as the radiance fills in
This poem can have a couple meanings but my intention was to right a poem about finally finding happiness.

Everyone staring, a colorful figure enters the room
Standing silent, in anticipation they wait
The man starts to dance, his feet clad with bells
The court gets what they want

A painted smile hides not the sorrow of this man
Unnoticed and shunned the show goes on
He must twirl and he must spin
The court must stay amused

His highness yells “more” over the roar of the crowd
The fool’s sweat and tears trickle upon the cold ground
Endless mocking and taunting this man must endure
The court always demanding

Panicking and nervous, what to do next
A tumble, a flip, round and round it goes, day after day
Muscles tired, heart weakened
The court presses further

The player tires and stumbles, hitting the ground
Its demanded he rises, tries with no avail
A soul can only take so much before giving in
The court stands staring
Broken body, exhausted spirit
The fool lays like the stage on which he performed
The court uncaring, waiting
Next show soon to begin.
The Fools Ballad is ment to be a powerful piece, bringing to our eyes the taunting and bullying that occurs on a daily basis on this planet and on just how these acts can effect someone.

I wish I understand the way that I feel
Missing you after all this time
You broke my heart and beat me down
There were days I felt I couldn’t move
The warmth once granted by your presence
Turned to icy chill in your absence

Inside my chest a dull sound resounds
You strung me up and pulled me along
Empty promises, I swallowed them whole
I stood by silently as you made me dance
Like putty in your hand you shaped me
Changing me to follow your selfish agenda

Falsely supported by your steady hand
I played foolishly along
Then you cut my strings and I fell to the floor
Motionless I lied for days
A misfit toy with no owner
A depiction of  human character

I Visualize the paper

With its spaces and lines

A gateway to secrets and facts kept inside

Each blank filling with an ink-fueled thought

The void spaces engulfed as my conscious mind wanders.

Switching places with the paper

My lines bone and flesh

Instead of ink im filled with incandescent thought

The ideas however the paper has stolen

My out of body essence

In plain sight for all to see

The paper a Vampire

Sunk its razored teeth into me

But instead of the crimson

I do not bleed

All that spews out

A written version of me

Confusing yet intriguing
That one with  emerald eyes
Putting a smile on my face
These feelings of humanity
Unfamiliar to this automated robot
I’ve known you  a short time
The 4th wall unbroken for now
brick by brick, day by day
revealing what lies on the other side
follow the yellow road in your eyes, Off to Oz

— The End —
