Poison in My Cellphone
A friend so good before,
Turned into a foe.
Now, he holds a cellphone,
And wears wrinkled brows.

Comes his textmate's reply,
And he would flash a smile.
But when I dare to talk,
He would give a tiger look.

No more time for a conversation,
Just busy pressing the keys  of his phone.
Oh, I wish I had a magic,
Break the phone and make him sick.

His money instead for the food,
He will use it for the load,
And feels so uneasy,
When words "low battery" display.

Chores at home left undone,
Waiting for a hardworking someone,
'Cause the "busy" person assigned,
Is tired of thinking a nonsense reply.

Dear friend, what have you got?
You know you changed a lot,
Have you taken the "poison"
Of your stupid cellphone?

Vertical's Limit
Not for the faint-hearted
The highest peak is
Unconquerable is its tip
Cold and misty,
A stairway to heaven!

Bold climbers ignore
Step is the *****,
Help is the rope,
And the peak is their hope.

Surmounting the rocks
Resisting the freezing air
Holding back against the pull of gravity
Should the climbers do
With the vertical
That seemed infinite.

Escapade began.
In their heart, they held
The step and hope.
Crouching on the frosting rocks
They moved higher and higher.
'Till they could glance
At the abyss of horizons.
Passing the halfway,
Wild fortune they met.
Wind with wrath roared.
There came a snowstorm!
Hope began to melt
Their shriveling souls, too.
Buried.
Vertically jeopardized.
Lives ended with the limit.

Another team conquered
The mighty mountain.
Aroused a sense of adventure
Spirits unleashed,
Saying altogether, "We can!"
As tightly holding the guide
And pathway's light -
Their nation's proud "stars ans stripes."
Valiance flashed on their faces.

Higher and higher they went
Calmness danced with the rustling cool wind
Glaring were the ice flakes
Of noontime sun
The journey was near to its end.
Yet, a huge running bunch of snows met them.
Keen climbers bombarded
Explosive things.
Boom!
A hole was formed.
They went down
Into the hide site-like hole
Awaited the "limit" to pass by
then, it came.
The hole was filled
Shivering with cold
Heroes bombarded again...
Light rays entered as
Dazzling as their smiles.

Escapade continued.
'Till they stood and yelled
The voice of victory,
Overcoming the vertical's limit,
On their success,
On the most awe-inspiring place
of their dreams -
The earth's highest pinnacle!
I was just inspired by the movie, "Vertical's Limit."

YOU
YOU
I don't know what is in you
That made me fall for you
At first, I just admire you
As time fleets, I realize that I love you.

I want to get closer to you
Yet I'm shy and hesitant in getting near you
You're my first love, I'm telling you
Perhaps, in love's game, I'm not as versed as you.

When you're not with me, I miss you
No other things in my mind, only you
All I want to do is to search for you
And have a long talk with you.

For me, no one's better than you
You are different, that, I told you
A reason that I can't replace you
I don't know what to do if I lose someone like YOU...
My first love poem when love struck me for the first time..

Rebirth
From all corners of life
Emerged different stories
Which have been buried
Almost forgotten...
But alas!
They whispered the hearts
Of the quill holders
Placed a star within reach,
Struck a ray of great significance,
Ignited a stronger passion.
And the quill did speak:
"Let me be the voice,
The memoirs the lyrics!"
Then, all were revived.

Friends Forever
A strong bond, circle of friends we were
We remained a concord against the odds
We shared one's cup of joy and ocean of disgrace,
Wiped the tears away with mirth and joy.

When one of us was almost at the edge of life
Or was grieving, no space for hope and light
We did understand and gave attention,
Opened our arms, so one could bravely fight.

A midst troubles caused by bitter tongues
No one dared to leave and break the bond
We rather sought ways to bridge the gaps,
And weaved back the ruined web of harmony.

Out of confessions we disclosed
We've come to behold our hearts' dark spots
With which we purged by shimmers to ponder
Thus, allowing the flow to continue its course -
The flow of the youthful streams of friendship.

Great distances would soon divide our ways
For we ought to traverse where our fate is.
Before this happens, I beg you my dear friends
Promise me to keep the friendship in your hearts,
In its deepest chambers, sealed with the warmth of love
'Till eternity holds us fast - still foursome -
Like the inseparable stars of Pegasus!

Haiku
A mere glimpse of you
Is a gaze of wondrous spot
Heavenly lilies.

The moments we've shared
Are rubies no one can steal
For I hold them dear.

Once, aimless was life
Until you introduced love
I learned to soar high.

Oh! little candle
I wish you'd keep it burning
'Till daylight greets me.

Weather has to change
To both dumb extremities
Pen and sheet will sing.

Truth may heal or hurt
And it just has to prevail
So you'll get appeased.

My memoirs' locker
Where my clandestine are kept
A great, silent chum.

Lonely Death
Out there in that tranquil grave
I saw Death, very lonely.
Hesitantly, I drew near him
"Why so sad?" I asked.
"People offered you beauteous flowers,
Lit you a lot of scented candles,
Meditated you long prayers,
You're supposed to rest in peace."
He looked at me and replied,
"Not of worth at all.
I never felt nor saw they've done.
I was all alone
When I was still alive."

— The End —
