A mere glimpse of you
Is a gaze of wondrous spot
Heavenly lilies.

The moments we've shared
Are rubies no one can steal
For I hold them dear.

Once, aimless was life
Until you introduced love
I learned to soar high.

Oh! little candle
I wish you'd keep it burning
'Till daylight greets me.

Weather has to change
To both dumb extremities
Pen and sheet will sing.

Truth may heal or hurt
And it just has to prevail
So you'll get appeased.

My memoirs' locker
Where my clandestine are kept
A great, silent chum.
Out there in that tranquil grave
I saw Death, very lonely.
Hesitantly, I drew near him
"Why so sad?" I asked.
"People offered you beauteous flowers,
Lit you a lot of scented candles,
Meditated you long prayers,
You're supposed to rest in peace."
He looked at me and replied,
"Not of worth at all.
I never felt nor saw they've done.
I was all alone
When I was still alive."
