Passing
Carol Rose Mar 2014
The long grey sock has ripped
Dried wine on my sober lips
Velvet drapes hang half drawn
Tired eyes will embrace dawn
This old familiar room
A child must have bloomed
But now the walls do fade
Memories lie in their shade
It was a safer place
I look down with wrinkled face

Being Girl
Carol Rose Feb 2014
Too much of an emphasis, I think
I place on the boy crisis, so I drink
Wine morning followed by *** night
Crime warning with some fright

Baggage
Carol Rose Feb 2014
An bag under an eye
Carries more than you know
Holds all the lies
Sagging sorrow
A bag under an eye
Carries more than you know
Holds all the highs
Saggy Tableau

The Mole
Carol Rose Feb 2014
It is hard to articulate
The feelings that escalate,
From my heart to my brain
Seems to become stuck, as if in a frame
Despite a ready, eager mouth hole
Emotions burrow like a mole
Who only knows of one thing; hide
Dying with want to confide
But only showing an ego's pride.

Dissidence
Carol Rose Dec 2012
He turns his back to me,
A exasperated attempt to flee,
Those feelings which arose,
Those feelings of a rose,
Seemingly sweet aroma of scarlet,
Yet one touch makes a harlot,
Thorns protrude and penetrate your skin,
Against good nature to your kin.
