I can see that you are not often there,
You hide deep down inside of a shell somewhere.
Only to be thought of as a being once lived
but are a continuous annoyance I cannot forgive.
I see you in passing,
I see you in doubt,
I see you dashing,
I see you tattered from the inside out.
You sheepishly grin,
an act of reciprocal sin
to the lack of liveliness
the world knows lies within.
Do you see the weakness?
Do you see the doubt?
Do you see the insecurity,
The convoluted and shameful route?
No, you duck right beneath it,
and I won't see you for sure,
you hide in the shadows,
until confrontation reveals you once more.
The reflection in fed up eyes,
the realization as unwanted tears dry,
this is how I can see you,
and mirrors do not lie.
