mother nature's crying
the heaviest rain
because she wishes
she had what we have.
everythings blurry,
covered in her jealous tears.
our glass castle around us
is crumbling,
and we don't even notice.
we can only see each other.
only feel each other.
we slip further into each other
to find heat.
putting band aids
on third degree burns
because we know just how cold
the storm around us is.
she's cracking screams
across the sky
because we're caring too much for
you and me,
to care for her.
she's trying to take our breathe away,
but we've already
taken each others.
she knows
we can't see her tears
even when we're soaking in them.
we can't hear her thunder
when it's breaking our eardrums,
or see her sparks
when it's blinding us.
we chose to ignore her;
and she's heartbroken
// having an intimate moment, because you're scared; stuck in your car during a tornado watch / thunderstorm. The hale is chipping the windows, the wind is shaking the truck, & the rain is leaking through the cracks in the window you have for cool air. But through it all, he knows your weaknesses, he knows what scares you, & he's trying to take your mind off of the fact you're stuck there until the storm clears; away from home, & past curfew.
